“I was so focused on the future that I forgot about the present.”
I do love that they went from flirting friends to realizing the secret to kissing to going out (Golf asking to just skip being good friends was so cute and worked so well because he phrased it just right to keep Gun comfortable) to Golf asking him to move into an apartment together in one afternoon. No hesitation!
Watched the GolfGun part of Remember Me, and I'm so glad that they resolved the secret/lie this early and that Golf was understanding about it, and I'm deeply amused that Golf went for the U-Haul. He was like, "We're boyfriends now? Great, let's move in together. That's not too fast at all. Also if I go to a jewelry shop tomorrow, you don't have to come, it's totally normal, don't worry about the fact that they sell engagement rings."
Golf: Can I borrow a pen?
Gun:
Golf: What's your name?
Gun:
Golf: Where are you from?
Gun:
Gun Korn's reaction to Golf, his longterm crush, at the same school as him, in the same facility and now part of his life.
Golf: Doesn't come home, forgets their anniversary, doesn't call or text, basically doesn't ever speak to Gun, doesn't even realize what he's missed, makes no apologies or communication attempts, sees his boyfriend sitting depressed in front of food and doesn't even ask how he is
Gun: Let's break up
Golf:
Who keeps putting Ja in these wigs? Who thinks this is the only acceptable way to show passage of time? No more wigs, please.
Also, I should have known that this wasn't going to be a good episode for Gun/Golf as soon as that nonsensical hair showed up. :(
The wigs are the only way they know how to show the passage of time, apparently, and I'm not sure who they learned it from but they should be charged with something. Especially for styling it like that. I mean, oof. Oof. That is, like, how you style a wig when you've never seen a person's hair before.
Maybe there's some kind of 'bad wig scale' for Remember Me in terms of how things are going according to how bad the wig is.
No, sadly, there's nothing there.
Poor Golf and Gun. The show had to throw some drama their way, didn't they?
Poor Gun feeling abandoned by Golf because of work and Golf not having any effort to prioritize.
This reminds me, actually, of the plot of Close Friends with OhmFluke only Remember Me appears to be handling it better so far. We'll see if they actually follow through.
Gun deserves to feel abandoned and be upset that Golf isn't following through on their dates and isn't contacting him or responding when he can't! Ugh. Why must realistic issues be so... real?
Seriously, though, Golf had better learn from this and show his growth. Poor Gun deserves better.
I love that Gun and Golf just feel queer. They don't feel like boys who are mostly into girls and then fall together by accident. They feel like gay boys who met and are now flirting and having a good time because they're both on the same page as each other because they understand.
