Getting off Facebook and back in the real world
Day 5 I am officially full of shit! Yesterday I was all 'wearing fat pants until I lose a stone' and 'no drinking tonight!' And what did I do, ate my body weight in bread sticks and dip and drank almost half a bottle of wine. So, I'm not going to say anything like that until after Christmas and then I'll actually get serious about the whole shape up thing. Things to do; Outside lights Clean the whole house Get child 3's hair cut The school run can be really awkward sometimes, trying to avoid eye contact with other parents and when you accidentally do then you're forced to either smile politely or make some kind of small talk. Today I found myself talking about bin collection in the area 😳 Still it's not a painful experience and sometimes it can be quite funny. I tried to get the little ones haircut today and he was having none of it, even prepared to sacrifice getting a new toy to avoid it - back to the drawing board with that one I think. ✂️ Things I got done; Outside lights✔️ I managed to get outside to put the Christmas light around the guttering today. The clips had all cracked so I tried using sandwich bag ties, turns out they don't work so good. We had to make a quick visit to homebase for an emergancy purchase of gutterclips and we got the last pack, phew!!!! This years lights are solar powered which is great for the world and that but the sun moves and it's tricky knowing where to put the solar panel... Let's cross our fingers on that one Time seemed to catch up with me today and the day to day things still need doing regardless of what I think. I went onto Facebook today for a bit of a nose and found that most people are either bragging about weight loss, how amazing their Christmas tree looks (don't know when that became a competition) or talking about sick kids, so I'm missing nothing. Still want to log on every 5mins though........ Mummygallen
