Here's a great variation to increase strength in your pushing and pulling movements. . I picked kettle bell because they don't hurt my shoulder during the pressing movement. They also engage my scapular muscles to avoid further shoulder impingement (tendenatis) . I do 3 sets of 10 reps these are 24 kg kettle bells you don't need to go heavy on this exercise learn to master the movement before adding heavy weight. . Then I superset it with . Strict ECCENTRIC Pull ups. . I do 3 sets of 8 reps. . Slowly and controlled. The tempo is 3-1-3 . So 3 sec to the way up and 3 sec to the way down. . Hint: during the pull ups do not push with your shoulders focus on engaging your lats and upper back to ease the movements. If you feel like you are cheating with your shoulder stop immediately take a break and do them again when refreshed. . So here you have a complete combo to increase upper body pushing and pulling strength simoultaneously. .
