Jerk Ford AU: Magic

Jerk Ford is about as proficient in magic as Canon Ford - although he primarily relies on technology, he knows how to use magic and does not shy away from using it.

However, compared to Canon Ford (and a substantial amount of Ford alts), Jerk Ford's use of magic, unsurprisingly, revolves mostly around curses and hexes; using magic to cause hard, inconvenience, and/or distress to others. Of course he would learn magic just as a boon to his constant trolling and terrorizing of society.

In his dimension, while he was writing Journal 2, Jerk Ford learned magic from less-than-wholesome anomalies like The Hand Witch, Mothman, Mr. What's-His-Face, The Invisible Wizard, and Chamelius Pendraggin. He did continue to learn more about magic and more complicated spells throughout his thirty years of multiverse adventures, but his unscrupulous base for magic is obvious.

His aptitude in magic curses doesn't come up much because he isn't the type to use one-size-fits-all curses, most curses he uses are personalized and custom to whomever he is trying to curse.

Also, Jerk Ford using magical curses on a person instead of just fucking their parent(s) and/or significant other(s) is a pretty good indication that the poor sap pissed him off badly.

Here's an example of a curse that will cause the intended curse bearer to have their name instantly 'corrected' to a different spelling any time their name is written down:

His curses are unconventional, because as stated on his profile, his spells and incantations are harder to decode and undo because they're written and spoken in a mix of Hebrew, Latin, and Yiddish; requiring knowledge on all three languages.

In this particular spell, it's mostly Latin, but includes the Yiddish word fargin (Hebrew equivalent firgun פירגון), which is a very nuanced word and concept, but the basic meaning is that it is to be wholeheartedly happy for someone else's success.

The incantation:
