All teams jersey hoodie done! With the Royale Tiger to represent my favorite chat/lb joke.

I have enjoyed watching the PWHL 25-26 season so much, and I wanted something to express that. The rainbow stripes are made of the major colors from each of the 8 teams. The tiger patch is embroidered, and the PWHL logo is fabric paint. At first I planned to have just the W logo from the PWHL on the front with the Royale Tiger on the sleeves, but that looked too clinical. I decided to do two patches instead, with the idea that as more teams get added to the league I can add patches/embroidery to represent them. Def adding a little cactus somewhere for Vegas. This is fully lined with a gauze fabric so it's very soft and cozy, hopefully I can wear it to a game someday!

Hiya Tumblr crowd!!💐

I'm an almost obessive crafter from scandinavia, very fond of skirts and bright but earthy colours.

I sewed my first ever piece of clothing for my 7th birthday (sitting on my mom's lap at the sewing machine, so she could do the gas pedal and I held the fabric in place), and somehow I never stopped after that.

Since then I have also studied 4 years of sewing & designing & weaving & knitting & dyeing & pattern drafting. In schools with amazing teachers. Like - a tailor who has worked for the royal family. (And baked us foccacia for tea-time.) A basically master crafts-weaver and seamstress. Former theater costumers. One of the nationally most renowned sheepskin-crafters with literally over 50 years experience. So, I lucked out there. Some of it was at uni, but also in-between levels of study.... Soooo I have no degree in anything.... Yet?

A few years ago I realised that I've made at least half of my wardrobe by now, and what I have made are often my favourite things to wear - so this is meant to be my place and reason to document them a bit better!

I also remember crazy much about some pieces, because my brain seems hardwired to store memories based on the textiles that were present 😅

So, I hope this might bring someone else joy too, or inspiration! And please please feel free to send me your own handmade outfits or garments, so we can document them together 💖

Lace weight fluffy housecoat

I just thought this was so beautiful, and it looks like double crochet and chain, all in rectangular panels which would be a very simple construction. The only thing is that it looks like some kind of mohair which would be an absolute nightmare to untangle or frog. You'd have to be super careful if you wanted something that looked just like this. Without the fluff, I think it'd lose some of its whimsy.

I’ve got 2 yards of beautiful fabric I want to turn into a tiered skirt, but it feels like I’m letting the fabric down unless I make it *SPECIAL*. I’ve found a complementary scrap I might be able to use for an accent, but also, maybe I should make some lace for it?

Thread I have on hand for tatting into lace. The white is the largest and will make the thickest lace. The pink I think will add the most flair, but it’s a second hand thread so I have no idea if I can get more if I run out. Decisions!

Here's the first wearing of the apple cardigan! I can already think of several other things I have that it will work with...plus, it's highly likely I will make a skirt from whatever I have left of the fabric after I make the next project I have planned for it. Screaming bright green and pink apple print counts as a basic in my wardrobe, I guess.

Here are a few pics I took back in February of the colorful look I wore for Valentine's. 🌈🩷 I made the dress myself using a vintage pattern and vintage-inspired print fabric from Spoonflower. 🌼

The pattern itself was a nice and straightforward sew, so if you're into casual '60s styles I definitely recommend it! It's the perfect simple a-line style for showcasing a fun graphic fabric print and with the addition of oversized pockets and a chunky metal o-ring zipper down the front you can get a pretty authentic mid-late '60s look without much effort!

My version of the dress deviates slightly from the pattern as I opted to make single welt pockets rather than large patch pockets. This design choice was mainly out of necessity as I was short on fabric yardage and didn't have enough for much else aside from the main body of the dress. Luckily I was able to utilize the generous plain white selvage edges that were provided on the fabric to create the pocket welts and contrasting stand collar.

I'm currently in the process of putting together a good old fashioned BLOG (what a throwback, right?) where I'll get more into technical detail about my sewing projects, including this one. So if that's something you're interested in watch this space for updates! I'm hoping to have it launched by the summer. 🤞😊
