I honestly forgot how to do this, but I'm trying to recall.
"Compression/Circulation – Apply pressure to the victim’s chest"
"Airway – Tilt the victim’s head and lift his chin to open the airway"
"Breathing – Pinch the victim’s nose and breathe into the mouth"

Speaking of which, I remember back when I was still in nursing school, my instructor sent this video (I just edited it to add Cardi B's "WAP") to our group chat on Facebook Messenger and captioned it: "Me when my crush is around." 🤣😏

Fun fact: According to @papayajingles on Tiktok, "(Cardi B's) 'WAP' can be used as the rhythm song for chest compressions [which]...is more engaging" than Bee Gees' "Stayin' Alive."
Remember the 3 C's:
1️⃣ Check the victim for signs of consciousness, airway, breathing, and circulation after quickly assessing your surroundings for danger. Note: Be extra careful if the victim has injury.
Consciousness: Tap the victim's shoulders and loudly say, "Hey, hey! Are you okay?" If the victim is unresponsive, it is an emergency. Immediately command others to call the national emergency hotline. If there's no one with you, you do it yourself and proceed to check for the airway.
Airway: Make sure the victim is in the right position (supine or lying on the back with hands to the sides and straightened legs). Open the airways by using the *head-tilt/chin-lift maneuver. If there is head/neck/spinal injury, use the **jaw-thrust maneuver. Afterwards, check for obstructions. If you found any, remove it with your fingers or perform ***Heimlich maneuver. If there are none, check for breathing.
*head-tilt/chin-lift maneuver
**jaw-thrust maneuver (only used if there is head, neck, or spinal physical trauma)
***Heimlich maneuver (for conscious and unconscious victims)
Breathing: Place your cheek near the victim's mouth and nose and feel for no more than 10 seconds while looking and feeling with your hand for the rise and fall of the chest. Regardless if the victim is breathing or not, simultaneously check for circulation.
Circulation: Look for signs of movement, groaning, and pulse. If the victim remains unconscious, unresponsive, and is not breathing (or not breathing normally), perform CPR.
The American Heart Association (AHA) changed the mnemonic ABC (airway, breathing, and circulation) ➡️ CAB.

3️⃣ Care for the victim while waiting for help to arrive.
Hands-only (compression-only) bystander CPR method is said to be more effective than traditional CPR with breaths method, most especially if you're not trained to do it.

▪︎Heart is a muscular organ that pumps blood all throughout the body. 🫀
▪︎Blood is a nutrient-rich fluid that carries oxygen and removes waste. 🩸
▪︎What happens when the heart suddenly stops beating? Cardiac arrest (not to be mistaken with heart attack which is loss of blood flow due to blockage).
▪︎What do you do during cardiac arrest? Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
▪︎Why is it important for everyone to learn about this basic first aid skill? Simple, it can save a life and increase the victim's survivability by 3x, especially during an emergency.
▪︎How many chest compressions? About 100-120 BPM (beats per minute).
▪︎But remember the 30:2 compression-ventilation ratio which means for every 30 chest compressions, you give two (2) rescue breaths about one (1) second apart.
▪︎Proper hand placement and position for chest compressions?

▪︎Proper rescue breaths for mouth-to-mouth resuscitation?

▪︎Best song to do chest compressions is to the tune of "Stayin' Alive" by Bee Gees which has a tempo of 103 BPM.

Each year, quite 350,000 internal organ arrests occur at locations aside from hospitals, and quite twenty p. C occur publically places, in line with the Yankee Heart Association. CPR, mainly if performed straightaway, will double or triple the chances of survival for somebody in cardiopulmonary arrest.

That "Baby Shark" song is exactly 110 beats per minute and it can be used to save lives
Cardiac problems are more common than you think, and they can happen to anyone, at any age, anywhere and anytime. It causes the person to fall unconscious and stop breathing. Without CPR the person will die within minutes.
CPR should only be used if someone is:
unconscious and not breathing
unconscious and not breathing normally.
Learn CPR, get certified, save lives. You will be glad you did that.
