Something that was meant to be a simple sketch to check my progress has turned into a full blown piece. :) Anyways, I might be a bit embarassed about tons of dsmp fanart I've drawn but i'll remember it as truly important to my improvement as an artist. I still love my horns and tusks AU so I guess that only pushed me towards expanding on this piece as much as I did lol.

Person A owns a hat of knowledge that makes them always sound smart when they speak, which was made for them by a mage/witch friend of theirs when Person A complained about always sounding dumb whenever they spoke. Now Person B, a very stupid authority figure, has gained power and Person A is desperate to find a way to help their community, which is suffering under the rule of this corrupt and foolish authority figure. So Person A tries to find a way to put their hat of knowledge on Person B’s head, hoping Person B, if they were to gain some intelligence would be a better leader for the group(s) they’re supposed to protect and rule over.

Presenting, my second Kwami OC! If you follow @lenoreofraven, you might know that I came up with this idea a couple days ago. For those of you that don’t follow her, this kwami is present in the Hat AU, an AU where Nino’s hat becomes a Miraculous because of his close friendship with Marinette. Since Dolphins are known as a spirit of friendship, it seemed like the perfect choice for the Kwami of the Miraculous. Her name is Punngyoh, derieved from Péngyǒu; the Chinese word for ‘friend’.

Personality wise, Punngyoh is the embodiment of a Dolphin; very loyal and very playful. As with all Kwamis, she is also very protective of her holders. Nino is no exception. She’s very fond of every person who has borne her Miraculous, but Nino just might be her favorite. She greatly appreciates how seriously he takes all of his friendships, and over time views him as the son she could never have.

According to one of the Miraculous comics, Kwamis are abstract creatures. They are created when a concept is introduced into the world. The only reason people can see them is because they are bound to the Miraculous. As we see in Queen Wasp, they cannot be seen if the Miraculous isn’t in tact. The same is true of Punngyoh. Although friendship has been around for as long as many of the other concepts that created the Kwamis, Punngyoh is a special case. In order for her physical form to manifest, her Miraculous must be created from a pure, unconditional friendship. Because this kind of friendship can be versatile, so can the Miraculous. Literally anything can become her Miraculous, provided it is a symbol of friendship. This is the case with Nino’s hat. When Marinette makes it for him and gives it to him, the act cements the close bond needed for the Friendship Miraculous and Punngyoh’s physical form to manifest.

Although Nino’s hat is the Miraculous, it doesn’t become one until about right after Origins. When Fu and the other Kwamis find that Punngyoh has returned, they do a little investigating and find that the new Dolphin is the quiet boy that only ever really talks to Marinette and now Adrien. Fu is apprehensive at first. He knows that he must give Punngyoh to her new holder because it’s his duty as a Guardian, but he’s always been hoping never to deal with it since Punngyoh’s Miraculous can be very unpredictable. Eventually he bites the bullet and makes Nino the official Dolphin Miraculous Holder. He’s ecstatic to become a superhero, and picks Ocean Man as his superhero name. However, he’s very reluctant in keeping it all a secret from Marinette. She is his sister after all, they tell each other everything. Eventually, he snaps and spills the beans to her; and she in turn tells him she’s Ladybug.

Hello! I've been keeping up for some time, and I do have to wonder.. Why is Sonic scaring the heck out of Shadow? Is it on purpose?

but additionally for context, Shadow in my AU sleep walks and sleeps with his eyes open. He’s a heavy sleeper and has no idea he’s been capable of sleeping all this time. On top of that no one knows he can actually sleep too. He and everyone else is about to find out real soon though. As for why he was seemingly following Sonic, that would be because he was dreaming about having a conversation with Sonic and in doing so his body must have used muscle memory to follow Sonic’s scent.
