once again thinking about all my random Hawks/Keigo hcs (Not happy ones) so may aswell share so they're not just rattling around in my brain:
-as a kid keigo hated and feared his dad and swore to himself that he was never gonna be like him which became part of his drive to be a hero, he started going on field missions for the commission when he was like 13/14 and that's when he killed someone for the first time, he dissociated and hours later when he snapped out of it he broke down crying (even tho he had learnt not to cry a long time ago) because now he was a murderer just like his dad
-Keigo couldn't read or write when the commission found him, in fact he could barely speak and he had a thick accent, because kids develop speech from listening to others especially when you talk directly to babies, but I don't think his parents talked to him like that, in fact they barely spoke to him or eachother throughout his childhood
-leading on from that love the hc that Keigo forgets his own name, again I think his parents barely spoke to him and rarely referred to him by name so he hadn't actually heard it that many times before the commission changed it
-he wore a shock collar for a while when he first joined the commission, they didn't like his bird noises so it would shock him every time he made a non-human/bird noise, he still has a slight scar from it
-he also wore a blindfold for a month or 2, when he was like 11, the commission were trying to teach him to use his feather sensing but he was progressing 'too slowly' so they decided he couldn't take the blindfold off until he'd mastered it, literally 24/7 for however long it took him to reach their standards
-i don't think it's confirmed what age he was when his dad got arrested vs when the commission found him but I hc it's 6 and 7, with him and Tomie living on the streets for 6-12 months, in-between those events, Keigo begged and stole for a while, starting the feeling of becoming like his dad
-lots of ppl (endevour, the hpsc , the public) think that Keigo is a glutton bc they underestimate how much he needs to eat as a. someone who works a physical job all day and b. someone that can fly (using a physical/mechanical process) bird flight takes a Ridiculous amount of energy
-so he will eat any and all food put Infront of him, partially bc he Needs to but also because he didn't have consistent meals as a kid and gets really defensive of his food, the commission tried to train it out of him but couldn't really get rid of his food insecurity, if u put food Infront of him he Will eat it, even if he's full, no matter what it is he will try and eat it and he will not let you take his food
