Hawkshell’s Council

Hawkshell, Leafstorm, Whitefire, Rosethorn, Bramblefur, Kestrelsnap, Indigoeyes, Mousetail, Sunfire

 Captain Hawkshell’s council has recently gone through upheaval. Tales of the Soaring Protector’s heroism were often closely followed by her Seconds cunning strategies. That Second being her own sister, Whitefire. But now that Whitefire has chosen to retire, and become an Elder on Hawkshell’s council, it was time for the Captain to pick a new Second, one who would surely be leading the colony after her own death or retirement. Many expected Hawkshell’s lifelong friend and niece, Kestrelsnap, or maybe the noble Indigoeyes, or even her own dashing son, Sunfire. Instead, Hawkshell chose none of her long trusted Envoys and went with the youngest and most inexperienced cat among them: Leafstorm, to be her Second.

Marsh Colony’s Council approved the choice. Most of Marsh Colony would trust Hawkshell no matter her choice, so why wouldn’t they trust her choice of the future Captain? A few have voiced their concerns, but Marsh Colony is fiercely protective of their own, and everyone in the Council believes that Leafstorm will get there…hopefully before Hawkshell is gone. Together, Marsh Colony has survived. And with a strong Council Marsh Colony is left in good paws.

Captain Hawkshell, the Soaring Protector of Marsh Colony

Hawkshell leapt into the clearing with a triumphant yowl. She flexed her claws against the fallen trees, the same way a Marsh-lander would mark their territory. Then she cut a scrap of fur from the cub, a gleeful glint in her eye. "I shall sleep well tonight," she purred.
