My personal opinions on the Humongous Entertainment games from my childhood put into a tier list!!
these are all the ones I have played, any that I haven't played have been excluded so this isn't a definitive list.
Genuinely I love all of these games. They hold a special place in my heart and I would love nothing more than to play them again like the good ole days when I was little.
Genuinely a few of these I WISH I could play again, but they are INCREDIBLY Hard to find, especially for a good price, but even if I could find them.. I don't really have a computer that could play them, which hurts even more :(
edit: I FORGOT 3 OF THEM. THE 'LET'S EXPLORE' GAMES.
SPOILERS AHEAD
Personally I love Yasuhiro. I think he’s a good character. He may be used for comedic relief but there’s more to him than that and I absolutely love that about him. The fact that he’s only right 1/3 of the time also really makes him interesting to me. I really hate it when people say it makes him worthless because if he was right all the time then there would be no point to the trials. Not to mention he gets more accurate later on in the Future Foundation. I think his backstory is also extremely interesting too, especially since it links him to the Kuzuryu clan. I’m in to way excusing him stealing organs and conning people. However from a character standpoint these flaws make him extremely interesting and enjoyable to me. Especially since he has a motive for doing these other than just “I wanted to”. He has a problem of making bad financial decisions and falling for other con mans tricks. This all results in him being in debt, this motive makes it all seem more realistic than if they took it and went with he just did it. To address the idea of him being useless, he honestly isn’t. He was the one who got the ball rolling in Kyoko’s trial. Nobody else was talking. Sure it was a very silly way to do it, but it did it. And he was used in trials to make them interesting and hard on multiple occasions. I feel like the majority of people thought he wouldn’t survive. and the story took that and used it to its advantage. At any given chance he seems to be used as a suspect, which plays into his ultimate and his past extremely well. So when he ends up as a survivor you’re left surprised!
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
