Sometimes, the most relaxing thing you can do is to take a nice, calm walk around Ponyville. The idyllic town was the perfect place to wander. The scenery was beautiful, the ponies were pleasant, and as long as you checked the weather schedule for the day, you’d have no reason to worry about an unexpected downpour.

All in all? The perfect time to relax. At least, that’s what Twilight thought until her walk was interrupted by a noise that drew her off the beaten trail.

Crack!

That sound was the unmistakable sound of a pony hitting a tree. The sound was unmistakable if only because Twilight’s flying lessons hadn’t always been as smooth as she wished they were, so she knew what it sounds like when a pony hits a tree hard enough.

Curious, Twilight followed the sound, only to find--

Oh. Oh no.

The sight in front of her was more than a little scary. A brown-coated pony with a bloodied hoof was standing in front of a tree that looked like it had been taking a fair deal of blows. She was no Cadance, but even she could figure out how he must be feeling just from looking at him.

This was a pony that needed help, and that meant she had to offer her assistance.

Twilight stepped toward the pony, clearing her throat once she was close enough.

“Excuse me? Are you...Do you need any help?”

"Roses are red, violets are blue, Trixie has a hot flank, this poem doesn't rhyme."

✰ ━ ❝….❞ She’s rendered speechless. As a pony should be by any worthy poem. Oh, wait. Wait. That’s not why. She’s just dumbfounded, not captivated. Blue ears pin to the back of the little unicorn’s head, and she gives Heart a cross look.

❝ Okay… No. Let me just.. rephrase what I said. Good, well thought out poetry is always accepted. Not whatever.. that was.❞ ━ ✰

Fluttershy was walking around PonyVille after picking up new supplies for her office. Angel was laying on her back, his ears drooping and his whiskers wavy and frail from his age. He was slowly eating a small carrot Fluttershy had given him. 

“I’m gonna be so sad when you go, Angel...” Fluttershy whimpered. “But I did give you the greatest little bunny life you could ever have.”

She looked back to the little bunny without paying attention, and bumped into another pony. She squeaked, falling back on the ground and flaring her wings. Angel nearly fell off her back, but she caught him with her wing. Her eyes darted up to the pony; a brown unicorn.

“Oh goodness, I’m so sorry!” She quickly stood up, letting Angel lay on her back as she scrambled to pick up her items.

💎 ━ ❝ Oh, hello there, Heart Tips! ❞ Rarity waved to the stallion, trotting over to him. Although she hadn’t interacted that much with him, she sure acted like it now. How peculiar.. She wore a friendly smile on her face, but something about it definitely was a little off. There was a mischievous look in her eyes, no doubt.

The white unicorn’s horn lit up and was surrounded with a soft blue glow. ❝ What have you been up to? I was just reading this lovely little article in a magazine I picked up earlier.. ❞ Then she revealed said magazine as it floated from behind her, and she was quick to flip through it, seemingly looking for a certain page.

❝ Well, a lot of it is rather interesting, to be fair. What really caught my eye, though.. ❞ She chuckled as she reached the section in the perfect timing. ❝ Princess Cadance’s apprentice, crushing on Twilight Sparkle? Oh my.. ❞

Even though he definitely probably didn’t want to see it, it ended up in front of him to where he could get a look, anyways. She couldn’t keep the smirk from forming on her lips, but when she spoke again she didn’t seem to be trying to ridicule him. More so she seemed genuinely curious.. and incapable of not teasing him a little bit.

❝ So, just when do you plan on telling her? I’m sure she’d prefer to hear it from you than somepony else.. which, at this rate, is bound to happen. This isn’t the first tabloid I’ve read talking about how you’re such a smitten kitten. ❞ ━ 💎
