So, I finished reading Heatwaves. And I have to give where credit is due. Unironically, it is sooooo damn good. I now understand the appeal to the fic. The story was so well written, the words that simply describe a scene or simply one of the characters’ emotions is flawless. And with well-crafted stories, there’s less holes and there was not much holes in the story. The characterization is somewhat realistic, which not a lot of RPF stories fail to do. 

And if you look past Heatwaves being just a “Dreamnotfound fanfiction”, it’s a story about complicated love, a story about being placed in the worst situation to understand yourself, it’s a story about letting go for a while. Honestly, I find that amazing. 

I’m not gonna read Helium, and I reckon it’s pretty good. I just wanted to read Heatwaves to see what the buzz was about. 

If you’re DNFer or new to the ship, take from me (as a person who doesn’t ship Dream and George), you should really read Heatwaves.

I open ao3 to read a fic i started last night but the website is down 😓 I think heat waves dropped a new chapter ive never seen this happen before? like I've seen the site go down cause of holiday traffic but never just cause of a fic update yall wild lmaooo
