As per most visitors, I would recommend a late afternoon ascent, for reason that you may be able to stretch that into the evening where the glorious mountain be lit up like a Christmas tree.

Grab some food while waiting right at the foothill of Heaven's gate as the sky darkens into the night.

Right on the other side of the city lies Heaven's gate...a site that has taunted countless human to fly through her in their skin-tight fly suit or drive up their vehicles in a show of their engine prowess.

For those whose knees are not as before, do that route that allows you to walk down as opposed to a climb up. The sight is magnificent and the air occasionally marred by inconsiderate smokers. But otherwise, a nice place to be at at least once in your lifetime.
