Hobby Exchange Day
"So, for today's activity I want to give you some paint classes," you started as you opened your big storage box. "This is just to have a peaceful moment, you don't have to be the best at it of course. It's just to have fun."
"Woah, that is a lot of paint and pencils," Heechul said in awe taking the canvas you gave him.
"I hope you like painting," you smiled sitting by his side. "I liked playing videogames with you, so I am confident you will enjoy this. I did lose in purpose so you could win."
Heechul's mom laughed a lot at your comment as she watched you and her son together.
Heechul bursted out laughing. "I was panicking, the music was really intense!"
"You picked the videogame!" you laughed back. "You have really bad skills on it..."
"I was trying to let you win," Heechul complained. "You didn’t let me finish!"
"They argue like a married couple already" Dongyoup said, the others agreed with him.
"I think they feel too comfortable around each other," Heechul's mom commented.
"Well, they have been close friends for many years," Janghoon followed. "Maybe this is how they act alone, is really childish."
Taking his canvas, Heechul showed it to the camera proudly: an ugly duck drawing was there ready to paint, making the moms and the panel show laugh back. "Leeteuk."
"That's so mean!" you bursted out laughing as well, but you didn’t really mean it inside.
"What do you have there? Show it!" Heechul took your canvas and showed it. "Who's this?"
Heechul looked at you intensely, holding back his laughter. You were trying so hard not to lose it in that moment, so for many seconds it became a staring contest both of you wanted to win, but eventually you gave up and whispered.
"Donghae..."
Heechul's laugh boomed all over the room, almost tearing, and you laughed along with him.
"She knows my Super Junior members so well," he said, wiping his tears and began to prepare his own paintings. "That's why I like you."
"I know, you love me." you said with a wide smile and Heechul looked away and placed a strand of hair behind his ear before taking the yellow paint in his hands.
"Oh, look, his ears are red!" Dongyoup pointed out, the panel chuckled in awe.
A woman had made Kim Heechul blush!
"They are sitting too close, aren’t they?" Heechul's mom said.
"They look good together though!" Janghoon continued.
Admist Heechul's silence at your comment, you prepared your own paint colors but you saw his hair was still loose.
"You know, you might get some paint in your hair" you looked for a hair tie in your pants and helped him to place his hair back as naturally as you could.
But your gesture only made him even more nervous, making the panel scream at the screen.
"Thank you," he barely whispered. You smiled back nicely and went back to your canvas, both immersed in the art.
"I think they should date!" another mom said.
"I hope they do..." Heechul's mom followed, still holding on to the idea that her son would marry and settle down anytime.
Both of you continued your paintings in a calm silence. Before finishing, Heechul asked for some help to make a couple of lines on the ugly duck. You stayed too close to each other as you painted in his canvas brushing your arms together. Heechul guided you on what he wanted almost whispering and it seemed you both were too comfortable with it.
"Oh I think it's perfect now," Heechul said. "Thank you!"
"Something is missing though..." you playfully said.
"What is it?"
"This!" you just painted his nose with a pink color from the flower on your canvas.
He giggled and wiped it off. The panel yelling again.
"That's so cheesy" Dongyoup chuckled.
"If they're not already dating..." Janghoon said.
"They have to start that date now," Heechul's mom chuckled.
You helped Heechul with wiping the paint off his face as you finished both your works and placed them on one of your shelfs.
"So how did you find it?"
"Relaxing, it was really nice," he replied. "Probably might do this often."
"I am happy to hear that, it means we can always keep sharing our interests," you winked back at him, making him red again.
"Stop it!" he chuckled, hiding his smile behind his hand.
"Oh just kiss already," Heechul's mom said. "They look so good!"
"It was really cute," Dongyoup said and the segment was over with you hanging the canvas on your living room. "Like seriously who would make him blush like that?"
"Very few," Heechul's mom answered, and she made a mental note to ask her son what was really going on between you two.
"He must be lucky then and he needs to make a move now!" Janghoon said.
After recording the scene at your place once all cameras and crew were gone, you were free to act normally. At least the normal you get to be around a celebrity like Heechul, who also happened to be your boyfriend since four months ago.
"Do you think we did okay today?" he asked once you sat down with diner in your living.
"Yeah, why?"
"Wasn’t it too obvious?"
"People will find out eventually, and we keep showing together to the world even if we're not public yet," you took his hand on yours. "We will be fine."
Heechul thanked you, taking your hand tightly with his.
"I think I should tell my members... And my mom. She will have a lot of questions after this goes on air," he smiled.
"Then I will answer them all for you," you beamed and stole a kiss from his lips.
He got red again and closed his eyes, wishing this day dream won’t ever end.
"What did I do to deserve you..."
