Skater kid Jane Byers-Hopper headcanons (because she is my daughter :) )

-She tags along with Eddie (and often The Party) to backyard concerts and cheap venues. She's always wearing concert bracelets from the few times they've left Hawkins for a show, and wears them until they fall off. After that, Jane stores them in a box under her bed with tickets, stickers, patches, anything they've grabbed from shows.

-Suuuuuch a Lisa Frank sticker collector. They're on her boards, mirrors, their bedroom door, everywhere. Bright colors and cute animals adorn every square inch of school notebooks and folders.

-They/She pronouns, and in loosely defined relationships with Both lumax and Dustin. I think Jane finds the most comfort with these three, they provide such a good balance and support system that can be so stabilizing and warm for her. Max teaches her to skate, buys them their first pair of vans, is the first one that Jane learns to lands her tricks with. Dustin is cheering her on, screaming from the top of his lungs that 'THAT'S MY PARTNER!' anytime she lands something particularly skilled. Lucas is there with bandaids and make it better kisses when she falls. They're just. Everything to me.

-100% an ESSA collector. Makes her own gear, kandi collars, everything. Jane prefers dogs, but they're a sucker for calico cats <3

-ALWAYS at Scoops. Especially if you want to make this a SurfsAhoy AU, Jane is constantly there to pester Mike with Erica, hang out with Max, and sample so much ice cream she gets sick. (She likes Cherry Garcia and Butterscotch Swirl the most-)

-Will paints her boards, and she rides them until they break. She loves when he designs flowers and colorful swirls, and treasures each one.

-Theatre Techie. Probably a painter, but I could also heavily see Jane as a costume or sound kid- maybe all three! She loves helping around, especially tech week and show nights. Seeing everything in action is just...magical to them

-always handing out/trading kandi bracelets. They're fun and simple, and they make her happy. She might not be the best at talking with people yet, but handing out little trinkets makes it so much easier, and they love the smile others get when she passes them a bracelet

-Cartoon bandaids and colorful hair ties, apple juice in the sun and sandwiches tinted with sunscreen covered hands, borrowed clothes and D20's of every color under the sun clutched in her pockets like candy. Jane is fireflies in the summer and purple doodles on math homework, mismatched socks and star belt chains, sleeping over late and sneaking out in the morning.
