your dolls bring me. god they make me so indescribably happy and excited. seeing them makes me fall in love with bjd all over again, every single time. i appreciate you SO MUCH for being willing to post and show off and share. thank you.
there are a bunch of sweet things in my inbox, stuff that i've been meaning to respond to, and then haven't, because i never know how to format a "thank you".
maybe it doesn't have to be hard. so thank you. feels nice to be appreciated. and to the anon that got their tits blown off, my deep apologies and/or you're welcome for the surprise mastectomy.
I found your bald PK post and now all I can think about is that PK should’ve just tipped his crown with void and launched himself as a dart right on the radiance, no pain, no angst, all gain
Another failed attempt to defeat the Radiance.
Ma’am I just read the fast pass episode and I need more camille with her hair up- 😳
I have just the thing!!!
Now that firestar’s pacifism is in full display and that both Tawnypaw and Bramblepaw are sentient (for the lack of a better word, what do his siblings think of his attitude esp with chapter 10?
Tawnypaw feels about the same as the rest of the Clan: he's a weenie, but in a good way, and that makes her fond of him.
Bramblepaw looks up to his much shorter brother - he admires Firestar's insistence on peace and friendliness, not just because it's the right thing to do (in Bramblepaw's mind), but because he's insisting on it against the entire philosophy of ThunderClan, and it's actually working. Bramblepaw thinks that's super hardcore.
I think it’s really ironic in a fucked up kinda way that the one death Firestar adamantly refuses to acknowledge, the one death where he tries to cling on to as much clan tradition of “don’t talk about this person. don’t speak their name. don’t reminisce about their circumstances.” is the one death he directly caused
It's a lot easier to "Rules for thee" things when the very idea of addressing something that traumatic would cause a mental breakdown. Best to avoid that pain entirely. No, I'm not being a hypocrite. You all should still talk about your feelings and the dead. I'm fine. I don't need to. It's fine. Stop looking at me.
cw for gore but: a quick drawing of The Unzippening bc it wouldn’t leave my head. play “Placing the Blame” by sElf for maximum impact!
some drawing notes:
- something I really wanted to depict here is the contrast between scourge and firestar. scourge is skinny, his expression is visible as he bleeds out, his claws are out because he was intending to kill.
- firestar on the other hand… I wanted to depict him as small and as out of his element as possible. round shapes, not a claw or tooth in sight. his face isn’t even visible. the only injury he has is the cut on his head. his fur is smooth. if it were just him on an empty space, someone can probably mistake him as a kitten.
- since this is a top down view, you don’t see as much blood on firestar in comparison to scourge. but you know it’s there. scourge has been vivisected completely and the conveniently dog-shaped trail of blood leads to firestar. there’s a puddle of it beneath him. if we looked at a direct angle the entirety of this cat’s stomach and legs are soaked in it.
This is incredible.
“It couldn’t be.
‘Horoa?’ he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.”
Shoutout to firestar’s leadership blessing scene, it taught me how to draw lions. Seriously, I ADORE this scene in Charred Legacy, I had to draw something for it bc it wouldn’t leave my head.
Firestar has some itty bitty flames around him partly as a reference to “A Kindling” and partly because I think it’s funny to depict his energy as a pint sized Horoa. The bitsy. The itty bitty. The kbity of all time.
(Does this also count as a Horoa design post?)
OH what a lovely thing to wake up to this morning!
