This year for Pride I decided to rank some heroes from Greek Mythology by thickness, so we have Herakles, Odysseus, Theseus, Achilles, Jason, and Perseus ranked in order from beefcake to twink.

30 Days of Aphrodite
Welcome to another 30 days of Aphrodite! I did this challenge last year, so this year I wanted to change it up a bit and make it more personal.
I have this list of affirmations that I put on my mirror to recite every morning. I have an on and off battle with self-image so this is a great practice for me and a good offering to her. I also have some of my favorite anointing oils made from LucidAndWild, Hawthorne & Crow, and, Apothic Wics that I'm challenging myself to put on (only one) daily. If I have time I will light her candle throughout the month but with a nosey kitten, that idea might be on the back burner.
I won't be posting daily about it, but I will post things online for her (as sort of an E-Offering) This will be interrupted shortly with Earth Day on the 22nd and followed by Beltane on May 1st!
Call for podcast guests!
Hello all! I’m working on lining up some podcast episodes and would like to interview some Hellenic polytheists who have faced discrimination in the pagan community.
This is intended to be an open space, you do not need to use your real name or even give one. If you’d prefer to write your story that’s okay too.
I am a white, cis woman in a straight passing relationship. I can only speak about my own experiences and would like to highlight experiences by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and differently abled community.
Depending on need this will either be one or a series of episodes- with at least one episode with a panel on Xenia and the Xenia Declaration. If you are interested please dm me! Those of you who don’t fit this call or aren’t interested please feel free to reblog.
i-
welcome to “coven craft + personal practice + mundane life is making me celebrate a different holiday almost every day of december”
i’m really really happy though.
i haven’t been really really happy in a long time.
anyways that’s enough deep shit for now lol just look at my calendar.
Icarus fell from his lover set
amongst the clouds
on a summer day
coated in wax and
hubris with backs of scratching and
feathers of arrogance stapled
to stretchers with wooden
keys tied with nails like canvas
pulled taught with strokes
of oil and powder packed into pores
among burns and wax dripping off
the sun in mourning for a lost lover
stolen by the sea and drowned
in salt by horses and foam with
hopes of salt and snakes to preserve
the story of Icarus and forgotten Apollo
Current little altar dedicated to Aphrodite, may she help us take better care of ourselves. Being healthy, is beautiful.
Valentine’s Day
This is super late but I completely forgot about it. Similar to my deity waffles, I made Valentine cookies for each of the deity’s I commonly worship.
Once again, they were super sweet for no reason.
Vibe of today: Mystery of Love- Sufjan Stevens
To track down the date of modern Aphrodisia seems to be nearly impossible, but since I woke up frantic with the thought of "Did I miss it?" After forgetting it's exsistence this past month I'd like to take that as my sign to celebrate it. (I believe it transfers to the end of July/beginning of August so you still have time to celebrate it, no rush)
As I went to light Lady Aphrodite's candle it would. not. light. (It still has about 1/4 left of life in her :'( ) So I took that as my sign to make her a new candle. (That, and it's been a year since I've decorated her a candle, thanks snapchat memories)
I took a light pink prayer candle and wrote her name around the top of it and on the bottom a symbol of her. Then I dressed it with himalayan salt, cinnamon, an aphrodisiac, rose hips, roses, ashes I've collected from her incense, rose essential oil, and two other oils I've collected from Etsy. I sealed it with a bit of wax from her old candle as a way to transfer over the offering/candle.
Lastly, I found a cute charm at walmart a little while ago that I got with her in mind so I tied it around her candle like a necklace!
I'm actually really proud of the execution on this candle and I can't wait to light it! Happy Aphrodisia!
Tldr: Look at this cool candle I dressed! B-)
