“why are you hiding from me?” he hummed and you could hear the pout in his voice, as his footsteps echoed through the halls, making your heart beat faster with every step.
“is this a game? are we playing hide and seek?” his voice got closer, yet you were too afraid to run. you were frozen in place, hoping he wouldn't find you here.
“if i find you, darling, i'm expecting a price~!” he hummed playful, yet to you, his words sounded like a threat. knowing yomi, he wouldn't be happy about your little escape and what he considered a price would likely be a punishment for you…

there was only one way this would end.
you should've known, when you first joined the peacekeepers, only to spy on them from within, that they'd find out eventually. you should've known how cruel they were and that their leader, yomi hellsmile, would never leave a traitor alive. not when he would go as far as sacrifice his own men, even his own right hand woman. nobody was safe from him. so you should've known you weren't either.
“you never did trust me to begin with, did you?”
yomi had you cornered in his office, catching you red handed, when you were going through his computer. you were completely vulnerable, as he held you at gunpoint. leaning against the door, to block your only exit.
“i wish i could say that i knew from the beginning that you'd betray me. but you actually had me fooled. i'm impressed…”
yomi toyed with the gun in his hands, as he spoke to you. he didn't seem too eager to shoot you, at least not right now. but you were worried he'd accidentally fire at you, so you sunk further into your seat, as you nervously watched him.
“i would've expected that you'd be more suspicious of everyone around you…” you huffed softly, hoping not to upset him too much. but yomi instead chuckled in response and put the gun down for a moment.
“you were always my weakness, you know that?”
yomi's words caught you off guard.
“i've had my eyes on you from the moment you joined the peacekeepers. i've always wished that all those signs pointing at you being a traitor meant something else. that you tried to become my friend, because you liked me, not because you wanted to find my weakness. that you spent all those late nights at the office because you wanted to be near me, not because i was just another target for you. i've let my guard down around you, hoping you'd one day realize how i felt about you. and then you stab me in the back, betraying me and the peacekeepers like this…”
you've had never seen yomi so emotional, so genuine with what he was saying. this was a completely new side of him. he never seemed like he cared about anyone. so why had he fallen for you of all people? and just as you thought those things…
“did you really believe i cared about you?”
yomi burst out into laughter, raising the gun in his hands and waving it around as he laughed maniacally. and just like that, the words he said made sense again. of course, he'd never love you. even thinking he could possibly love anyone was a preposterous thought.
“aww, what's wrong? you were blushing just now, but now you're all serious again. don't tell me a spy like you can't even recognize when someone is lying to them”
yomi was just toying with you at this point, you were sure of it. as he slowly approached you, gun pointing at your head, he was grinning to himself. as he leaned against the table, towering over you in your seat, he continued to smile.
“well, do you think i was lying to you, my little spy? or do you think i've been telling the truth?” yomi asked, as he gently pointed the gun against your forehead. “let's play a little game. if you can guess which one is right, i'll let you live. so tell me; do i really love you? or was it all just a lie?”

yomi is a horrible person to everyone but you! he can be cruel and heartless, but around you, he's quite a bit different!
sure, he can never get fully rid of who he is, but he at least tries to be nice to you!
yomi doesn't tolerate anyone being mean to you, except for him! if anyone else were to make you cry, he'd kill them without hesitation!
yomi would kill everyone in kanai ward, if you'd desire it! nobody matters to him, except for you! and if you want them dead, he'd be more than willing to obey your commands
however, you've never asked of that and since you seem so hesitant to let him kill people in your name, yomi believes that you are too soft and kind
to him, you're an angel that is just too generous, even when you're doing the bare minimum by preventing the death of the people in kanai ward
because yomi thinks so highly of you, he always brags about you to his subordinates! he just loves to show off what a kind person he's dating!
he also spoils you rotten, as he believes you deserve all the nice things the world has to offer!
especially when yomi hurt you by being his usual self, he'll try to make up for it by drowning you in presents, until you forgive him!
