the actual successful attempt at beating elizabét's first boss fight. made a few more riskier plays, but not by much however it was still worth the time and patience to telegraph and recognise her attack patterns.

Evan's hands land on Jared's jaw again, and his thumbs press gently under Jared's chin to push his head back.

Jared should absolutely not be as into it as he is. Not with the splitting pain at the top of his lip and the blood already trickling down past his mouth. He holds his breath and closes his eyes so he doesn't have to look at the pretty gold flecks in Evan's.

"I think it'll be okay," Evan finally concludes.

"Great."

"I don't think you need any stitches?"

"Fantastic."

"Yeah."

Jared opens his eyes. "You can give me back my face now."

"Right."

When Evan pulls his hands away, some of the fingertips are stained red, wet and sticky. He looks at them, looks back at Jared, and his upper lip curls ruefully over over the shiny track of sharp, silver braces.

was going to block some people that violated my DNI (again) and found a post graphic that was like “what can erase my sins and imperfections?” and the bottom half read “the blood of christ” and it got me thinking about it from another angle.

because the crux of christianity is that someone dying as a sacrifice was necessary. why does bloodshed have to erase wrong things when bloodshed itself is a wrong thing? everyone is alright with the idea that someone else loosing their life is a admirable thing and a thing of deliverance when its literally just violence? its no wonder its so easy to convince the same people to ignore or even praise violence (war, police brutality, poverty and other violence). its no wonder the same people venerate suffering and death so much, that they think people suffering is good or that it makes them stronger (hint: it doesn’t, suffering is Bad actually). how much to you have to hate other people to convince them that in order to “fix” everything “wrong” with them someone has to die? how do you even convince yourself that anyone being harmed or dying is for the greater good, that the symbol of literal spilled blood is seen as a good thing that’s mandatory for others? you can only believe that if you’ve convinced yourself that suffering itself is good for everyone and that’s fucking sick. that’s one of the most twisted things about that ideology, that and the passing of collective guilt about violence that keeps people indoctrinated.
