Anyway I had a idea a while ago for a role play to do my private Discord server and decided before we got started I would take the chance to try and update some of my scp OCS that I felt needed it.

Example being shown here being I changed Melody and Heph's eye colors to better match with their 'parents'.

Which soon led to me realizing I never really Drew all of them together in one picture so might as well kill two birds with one stone eh?

Heph actually found him on the shore of Rivain, rushing to him with a smile, “Lucas! It’s been a while!”

Lucas was surprised to see the squirrel this time around, especially in Rivain, “Aren’t you a bit far from home?”

“Well, yeah. But it’s fine! Heard you went back home and I’ve never been so figured I’d kill two birds with one stone! Not literally of course. That would be bad.”

“No missing pets?”

“No missing pets!”

“Alright, good. Then come on.” Lucas put his hand in his pockets

“Huh? Why?” Heph tilted her head slightly

“You said you’ve never been, I’ll show you a good spot. But stays between us.”

Heph smiled brightly, practically skipping to Lucas’ side.

He has shown her nice views and abandoned warden forts, taking her to the hall of valor and then to small merchant booths buying little trinkets. Lucas took her to one more place along the beach, the tide low and the sun setting.

“This is the best spot to watch the sunset.” He smiled at Heph. Though her attention was more on the sunset, a fondness in her eyes.

“It’s wonderful…”

“A secret between me and you. But you can bring your bird beak friend too. Are they a friend?” Lucas raised a brow

Heph flushed red, “What?! How did you-! it’s getting dark, we should think about heading back!” She stormed off the beach, Lucas behind her chuckling.

To follow up, I am giving them a little test drive. If you hear me laughing in the background, then you know that I am gratefully amused. 🤣 Yes, they kissed.

What do you think it would be like if a person was a child of Hephaestus, but that child's mother was a legacy of Aphrodite??

And then when the child arrived at Camp Half-Blood, both Hephaestus and Aphrodite would try to claim her...

So with this, I'll go with my interpretation of mythological evidence where well known Greek figures having significant godly figures in their family tree, and are a direct demigod...

Basically: that child of Hephaestus is well...still the child of Hephaestus, so Hephaestus would have the more dominant claim; therefore they would be put in the Hephaestus cabin.

Look, look, I know it would be super duper cool to have more than one god looking over you. But you also got to think like the logistics of it all. Cause realistically, the child's mother is a legacy of Aphrodite; even the grand-daughter of Aphrodite is not a direct claim. Being the child of Hephaestus is the more dominant blood in them. It's another if the child was just a legacy of Aphrodite, there's a chance they would be claimed by Aphrodite and be placed in that respective cabin;

because if a legacy of Aphrodite ended up in Camp Halfblood, their godly blood in them is pretty strong and is powerful enough to be a risk to monsters as a direct demigod.

However,

I present a compromising idea,

The only reason I can see Aphrodite claiming the child of Hephaestus as her own, is because the legacy of Aphrodite has an inherit blessing of Aphrodite (think of if Charmspeak could be passed down). It would explain how their mother attracted Hephaestus' attention. Or their mother was very beautiful but also spoke to Hephaestus' domain; like being an excellent craftsman who made jewelry that was just as beautiful as her. Thus Aphrodite claiming the child is a physical representation because the blood of Aphrodite is strong enough to draw her attention.

Now, it doesn't necessarily have to be Charmspeak, you can think of other abilities that the legacy of Aphrodite may have based on Aphrodite's domain. Maybe the legacy of Aphrodite could have tears of pearls for all I know.

(cause get it, Aphrodite was born out of the sea? And pearls are considered the Jewel of the Sea and the goddess is often depicted rising on a seashell- alright I'll stop-)

They're still going to be put in the Hephaestus cabin but I guess they also have visiting rights to sleep in the Aphrodite cabin. But it would be best to pay equal respect to both godly parents* otherwise, they'll might find themselves being pulled into another marriage dispute between them.

Otherwise, the child of Hephaestus and legacy of Aphrodite will display the usual Hephaestus demigod stereotypes but would lean to something like craftsmanship like jewelry making, sculptures of art, doing more artistic stuff, and so forth.
