Kay Kay, I waited but no one else took the bait lol so here goes, what is your problem with Hermoine? I mean I don't like her myself or see the point in her character but how is she any worse than her husband lol He is the ultimate creep and a much worse role model or father than Jug's dad. Sorry another for the Fp Fan Club, I'm a big fan of redeeming and he has certainly done that imo. Hermoine though, she is just useless and a complete timewaster.

🎶 Hermoine Lodge is trash 🎶 

Another hill I am more than willing to die on. Here are some of her highlights:

1. Blaming her daughter and putting her on the hook with drug dealers because she, you know, didn’t want her parents dealing drugs

2. Has let her daughter be manipulated and abused by her husband for AT LEAST four years that we’ve known her, and then DARES to say she was staying to protect Veronica

3. Made her child keep her cheating on her husband a secret

4. Told her daughter that she needed to be weaker so that her husband could feel more “alpha”

5. Pressured her twenty fucking five daughter to have kids because she was running out of time

And my personal favorite: 

4. Told her fifteen year old daughter to sexually manipulate her boyfriend for Hermoine’s own benefit.

This is just a small sampling, Anon. Literally just the bare-bones of why Hermoine Lodge is absolute garbage. Yes, Hiram is trash. We all know this. It is absolute general knowledge. But he does not get the soft edit that Hermoine does and I NEVER see anyone talking about what trash she is. I hope she never comes back.

Y'all ever think about how much of a complex and likable character Hermoine Lodge was until the writers stripped her down to being a trash mother who just exists to live under her toxic husband's thumb.

Y'all ever think about the multitude of storylines Veronica could've had outside of her dumpster fire father that we never got (nor will we ever).

Y'all ever think about how Cheryl Blossom had all the ingredients to becoming a truly iconic character, but then all her progression was stripped away and her mental health is treated as a joke and she's lowkey a toxic girlfriend.

Y'all ever think about how much we all loved Alice and grew to have so much empathy for her, and now she's flat out one of the worst moms on TV.

Y'all ever think about how much impact Josie (along with Valerie and Melody) could've had on black female viewers (especially those of a darker skintone) had she been given good storylines in place of the inconsistent nonsense on this show.

Y'all ever think about how Gladys could've been redeemed as a mother in the eyes of the audience for telephone booth moment in 1x12 and maybe even been a cool character, but instead she was a drug lord who cared little about her own son and how her actions were affecting her family.

Y'all ever think about exactly why Penelope hates her daughter so much? Like seriously, what's the reason? Anybody know?

Y'all ever think about how DIRTY the show has done Toni Topaz, who was one of the most interesting characters and had the makings of being a total fan favorite, but instead all her cool personality traits were swiped and her only purpose has been to act as an emotional crutch/arm candy to her rich white girlfriend while having little to no opinions (because what are black women for, if not to uplift their white counterparts, right?).

Y'all ever think about how Betty, who IS a fan favorite and has been (for the most part) the most consistent character on this inconsistent mess of a show, had her character basically assassinated for the sake of forced drama to push the narrative of a played-out love square. Not to mention the constant toying of her mental state, as well.

Y'all ever just think about how the Riverdale writers don't know how to write for women and epically failed their female characters.
