‘WIP wind confused by ocean’ snippet? 👀 imma look back through the list and find more wips to ask about real quick. Lol

Honestly, this is more notes than actual fic so far, LOL, but it's inspired by this post

Here are my notes:

Wind astonished by a proper ocean There were fish in the realm of the ocean king. Wind fished there! He caught a huge fish! So when they wind up at the ocean - a normal ocean - he's like "Oh, this must be the world of the ocean king!"  And they're like, "What makes you say that? It's the ocean."  "But there's fish." "Yes, that's.... that's how the ocean works. You should know that. You live in the ocean." "First of all, I don't live IN the ocean. I live on an island. Or Tetra's ship. Depends."  "Same difference."  "Second of all, no, that's not how the ocean works at all? Only the ocean king's world has fish - unless you count fishman. I dunno if they really count. But man, I never thought I'd end up here again! I wonder if I'll run into Ciela or anyone I know here..."

(I wonder if the waters beyond the WW map has fish and just can't be accessed by sailors/fisherman, or at least not easily.... Food for thought. Figure that out I guess.) But also he doesn't recognize this island 🤨 he's been to them all! And that's bcuz? It's not the world of the ocean king! Wild is like, buddy, this is MY ocean. I know this beach. It's Eventide island. I ran up and down this beach in my underwear killing monsters after an old man stole all of my stuff. [You what?] 

So then he feels kinda :/// not great about most everyone else seemingly having more knowledge about what oceans are actually supposed to be like? Like, Wind is supposed to be the ocean guy!! He's the sailor! He's the one who should be the most knowledgeable about the sea! But it turns out... His sea has just been like... broken this whole time? And he didn't even know?

hold up reverse isekai thought-

how many of the chain are people going to be like: shouldn’t you be at school?

Wind and Four are both obviously going to have that problem. Ngl Wild even might. I feel like Hyrule and Legend might too.

I honestly think it’d be really funny if the youngest of the chain wind up at public school for a day or something (maybe longer idk?)

Also once somebody realizes Wild scars are real how big is the reaction? I feel like he might mention bits of his backstory (tm) and someone’s going to be like “you where in a coma?”

Another thing-

WOLFIE! Just, everything about him. That’s a BIG wolf.

I get the feeling he might have to temporarily wear a collar in wolf form. Just so people stop freaking out. The chain definitely get him either one of the kind with spikes or sparkles. There is no in between.

also for a wolf, twilight’s fur pattern is kind of really weird and not natural. Do with this what you will Idk.

OH THESE ARE REALLY GOOD THOUGHTS!!! Idk if technically one can just go to a public school if you're not actually a registered student though? Heck when I was in elementary school x amount of years ago, security got more and more boosted and I had to use a little call in button at the door if I left for some reason mid-day and returned because doors were locked. Had to like, verify my identity before they'd unlock the doors and let me in. I wouldn't be surprised if things were more strict now, but I haven't been to school in years either so idk

I can definitely see the occasional adult asking though. I know I got asked that as a kid on the rare day I was neither at school or actively sick at home.

Person: Um, can I ask how you got those scars?

Wild: Got blown up and slept for 100 years.

Person: ... Okay,,, sorry for asking... Could've just said no.......

And honestly somehow thinking about Wolfie skipped my mind. That name is not in my notes a single time. Crazy. Yeah, I know people have wolf dogs, but seeing a wolf looking animal that big would definitely make people nervous and would 10000% be an issue if he was off leash without a collar no matter how much the group insists he's fine and with them. That's straight up illegal in some places! So yes, he'll be getting the prettiest collar and leash they can find ✨ he goes okay how about maybe I just don't transform while I'm here! And Time is like hmm but what if we need to track someone down in an emergency? We'd need Wolfie to do that. Come on now, pink is a fine color. (Twilight feels betrayed) Legend is still salty about getting teased over his pink so you can bet he'll eat this up.

Ykw I did have a thought today about post adventure stuff

So I'll pretend you asked me what their relationship is after the adventure ends

To which my response is that they eventually get married! And there's quite a few nobles who are upset about that, especially when Link continues to play jester.

"Aren't you the king?"

Link, actively juggling: "Who, me? I'm just the queen's husband."

Like yeah nah the ruling stuff, the big roles, all that stuff is up to his wife. She makes decisions, he supports and does whatever he can to help, but he's certainly not going to take charge of anything unless she wants him to. And she's perfectly happy letting him continue to be the silly man he is. She loves her silly man <3

Your new au is hilarious and I love Link (not hero) so much. I also love Link the hero. The whole situation is just pure chaos. I love it. (Poor guy just wants to go home)

anyways no not hero link reminded me of Edwin so I doodled this:

I want these two to meet up for afternoon tea and share stories about trying to keep their respective heroes alive.

Honestly I doubt Normie's (yes that is my nickname for normal not hero Link) design will be all that far off from what you drew. He's very generic Link looking!

Hero, on the other hand... I am currently puzzling out his design :P I'm thinking it's a combo of the Triforce, the Master Sword, and the fancy powers of the royal blood (bcuz yeah I've decided he's Zelda's brother) that kept him alive! So I want to kinda... Mash those vibes into his design. Some Fi inspiration, some golden light type energy... Maybe even a bit of dark, ominous something in representation of spending all that time locked up with Ganon(dorf)

We'll see!

Link's first impression: Wow she looks so serious. And bored. At her own party?? Nahh, this HAS to change. (Followed shortly by oh, she has an unexpectedly fantastic laugh for someone who looked so stiff! I gotta coax more of that out of her while I've got the chance.)

Zelda: This is so ridiculous. I don't need this. I'm not a child. He looks ridiculous. He's acting ridiculous. (Followed shortly by oh, I have never seen anyone humiliate that guy so beautifully... Maybe this party isn't so bad after all... I wonder... Can I keep him? 🤔)

Link's opinions on deities: Hmm.. I don't think Link has put a whole lot of thought into it. Any references he makes to them is generally purely for the idiom or phrase or joke rather than actually any sort of religious care. None of that really matters to him! Maybe that changes when he gets wrapped up in the whole hero thing. I think he doesn't care about them (not in a negative way, just a neutral way) because he doesn't exactly see them getting involved so if they exist, does it really matter? Makes no difference to him! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ At least that's how I see it for now. Subject to change since there's a lot I haven't figured out yet lol

Zelda's opinion on deities: This could go either way. Either she's a little bitter, or coldly neutral. I'm not sure yet. Depends on a lot of story aspects I haven't decided on.

Zelda's family: She's the sole ruler atm and has no family anymore. She did have I think both parents when Link first met her and was hired on as her personal jester, so I'm thinking something must have happened during the war, or maybe before the war? Maybe whatever happened started the war... Not sure yet, but she was definitely handling things on her own during the war at some point onwards, if not earlier.

Link's family: I don't picture him with any family. I can't see him with any attachments until Zelda, tbh, which makes me wonder if he was just an orphan or something. Made money performing on the streets and now has it pretty good. Gets paid well, probably has some land now that he doesn't even live on at all bcuz he's always at the castle haha
