who are the tallest and shortest zeldas to you?

I have my own personal height ideas of everyone in order, but I want to hear everyone elses thoughts too.

I'm basing these off of my height headcanons for the Links. As in, I'd rank some higher if I didn't know how short their Links are.

Shortest:

-Minish Cap Zelda, because she's a child, followed by...

-Aurora (Adventure of Link)

(so cute)

-With Dawn not being much taller. Everyone in that era is short to me.

-Tetra also has some growing to do. I think of her granddaughter as being taller than her.

Tallest:

-Artemis, followed by Sun, Lullaby, and Flora. I'm not sure in what order. I'd have to measure them, but I'm not. Actually, isn't OoT Link taller than Zelda at 17? So Lullaby gets kicked out of this list. The others are taller than their Links. Yes, including Sun. It's just that the most-used images show her at an angle that makes her look shorter. It was surprising to me, too.

I'd have put Dusk up here, but the Ganondorf in that game measures too tall compared to her. Same with Twilight. They are actually on the short end, even if they give tall vibes. In LU they get to be tall for funsies.

In the spirit of encouraging people to comment on fanfics while also making it easier to do so, I feel obliged to share a browser extension for ao3 that has quite literally revolutionized the comment game for me.

I present to you: the floating ao3 comment box!

From what I've seen, a big problem for many people is that once you reach the comments at the bottom of a fic, your memory of it miraculously disappears. Anything you wanted to say is stuck ten paragraphs ago, and you barely remember what you thought while reading. This fixes that!

I'll give a little explanation on the features and how it works, but if you want to skip all that, here's the link.

Edit: Yes, this also works on mobile!

The extension is visible as a small blue box in the upper left corner.

(Side note: The green colouring is not from the extension, that's me.)

If you click on it, you open a comment box window at the bottom of your screen but not at the bottom of the fic. I opened my own fic for demonstrative purposes.

The website also gives explanations on how exactly it functions, but I'll summarize regardless.

insert selection -> if you highlight a sentence in the fic it will be added in italics to the comment box

add to comment box -> once you're done writing your comment, you click this button and the entire thing will automatically copied to the ao3 comment box

delete -> self explanatory

on mulitchapter fics, you will be given the option to either add the comment to just the current chapter or the entire fic

The best part? You can simply close the window the same way you opened it and your progress will automatically be saved. So you can open it, comment on a paragraph, and then close it and keep reading without having the box in your face.

Comments are what keep writers going, and as both a writer and a reader, I think it's such an easy way of showing support and enthusiasm.

Hey! I’m back with some song recommendations for the character playlists. Twilight focused this time. I have started to listen to Jess Woodland and a lot of her songs fit him. Her genre is legitimately southern gothic. The two I’m thinking of specifically are The Show and All Good Things. Honestly The Show could fit a lot of them in my opinion, at the very least in theme. She also has the specific southern Appalachian accent I picture Ordon having since the landscape and lifestyle seem kinda similar.

OOOOO I am totally unfamiliar with Jess Woodland but I LOVE her vibe in The Show. The violin is really tasty - the lyrics are cool too! I think I'll actually add that one to Legend's... The lyrics feel more appropriate to him imo

MerMay Boots Link! I’ll be real, replacing Boots’ boots with anything was gonna be weird, like that’s literally his namesake. But I had been sitting on the ribbon eel waiting for someone who would be worthy of its majesty, and I figured Boots could be that guy! Giving him a big flashy tail somewhat makes up for losing his boots, right?

1) reading a longfic chapter by chapter, leaving an increasingly emotional comment on every chapter, descends into keysmashes near the end: outstanding

2) read one fic by accident, clicked the author name, now working steadily through the backlog and commenting on everything, I wake up to an AO3 inbox full of enthusiasm: precious beyond words

3) the longterm serial commenter whose comment begins with I don’t even know this fandom but because they have followed me from somewhere else: stunning. humbling. magical.

He had a clear center part in his hair once upon a time. Aspect didn't always slick his hair back. Or wear so much jewelry. Or have so much body paint. He's no more or less fluffy, but he did grow into his ears and eyes a bit as he got older.

No face paint:
