Genshin Characters & Their NPC Counterparts

it's not as formal as the title makes it sound, this is just me screaming at how starkly different the NPCs are from the playable characters, despite them being in the exact same position and no one question it at ALL.

apologies if the pictures are cut in mobile, i have not the energy to fix it bc these were taken directly from the genshin wiki. so, here we go!

starting it easy we have hertha (middle, not like it wasn't obvious) and eula and albedo. what do these three have in common, you may ask? well, they're all captains of a company within the knights. hertha manages the 6th company, which focuses on logistics, eula leads the reconnaisance team, and albedo is the head alchemist of the investigation team.

and yet. hertha is dressed like any normal knight, and she's pretty much the only female npc knight i can actually remember so i'll give her that, but like compared to eula and albedo she looks so forgettable 😭 do the people of mondstadt just not notice this or are they too free not to care 😭

next, hiiragi chisato and kamisato ayaka. at first, they seem to be completely unrelated. however, they are both the eldest daughters of their clans, which spearhead their respective commissions in inazuma. perspectively, they hold the same power and position on a public standpoint...but compare chisato's cute kimono to the fact that ayaka looks like she walked out of a disney princess' closet with all her fashion sense... it just feels so weird ZKDHDJHD

next, draff and diona! cats. cat dad and cat child. anyway is no one ever going to point out in game that diona has fucking calico cat features and pink hair AND AN ACTUAL TAIL and her dad looks like he's trying his best on a cat boy cosplay and aged through it and became cat dilf instead

last one for this list is miyuki and kuki shinobu! seriously what the fuck THEYRE SISTERS??? her hair better be freaking dyed bc if i were miyuki i'd be telling shinobu it's my turn to be the aesthetic sibling 😭
