I can't depend on my art skills today. Just imagine the episode where Omi was going through different time lines, In the scene where Chase had to drink the pot of peas that made you turn to the heylin side to get the monks out of the cage he looks at Omi and says something like "I was never meant to be good, was I?" And Omi looked at him about to say something but then looked away because the answer was too heartbreaking to say or something like that.
DOES ANYONE SEE MY VISION?
Finally made a little drawing of Vlad! He’s a character I really like, and you might be wondering why.
I’ve always had a soft spot for him. Maybe it’s because I spent my teens obsessed with Russian culture (shoutout to Viktor from Yuri on Ice! ⛸️), so I love doing deep-dive research into his background.
In my headcanon, Ken doesn't see Vlad's bluntness as "meanness." Through Ken's "Humanity Class" lens, Vlad is a respected, strict father figure. That’s why he calls him "Vladyka" (Владыка) — a term for a powerful lord or sovereign. While Jack is just annoyed, Ken is genuinely grateful for the "mentorship" and the guidance. 😹
I love this chaotic family dynamic where Ken’s impulsiveness meets Vlad’s sternness to "protect" (or yell at) Jack!
Anon, your ask is glitching so I’ve got to answer it like this.
The “canon” answer to this is likely something along the lines of: having more than one good vs evil group would have become too difficult for the show runners to keep track of so, to keep things simple, they stuck to the Heylin vs Xiaolin which represents yin vs yang.
The long answer is that: we absolutely see other ‘groups’ in the world, it’s just that they still technically slot into Xiaolin and Heylin. For example we have the Black Vipers which are, technically, not Heylin but still show up as the ‘villains’ of the show and, while Chase and Hannibal are both technically Heylin they very obviously are not on the same ‘side’ as each other.
(Aka: You could say that anyone who happens to be ‘evil’ is automatically labeled as ‘Heylin’ even if they really don’t belong in that category. In truth I don’t even think Jack belongs in that category because he really doesn’t use any Heylin magic at all. The same applies to is whole Evil Army. They aren’t the ‘Heylin’ army for a reason!)
Also I do laugh at the fact that Chase still gets along better with the ‘good guys’ then they Heylin side. That man only truly compliments Xiaolin people and, additionally, all of his warriors are fallen good guys they are called his ‘Fallen Warriors’ for a reason! They were all on the side of ‘good’ until Chase defeated them! Chase still, to this day, surrounds himself with ‘good’.
Which brings up the presence of other people fighting against the forces of evil and I would say that Chase’s army is a good indicator that there are people fighting in other parts of the world and that have been throughout time! The kids might not have run into them yet in the show (for simplicity sake) but I definitely think they exist!

Jack, be an obedient boy
Made this back in the very start of 2023! Here's a little fan animatic I put together using characters plus an OC from Xiaolin Showdown with audio from Team Four Star's Christmas Tree of Might Abridged! Everything but the background was made with Paint Tool Sai.
Not a bad haul.
