At the question "which Caleb would you like to draw" the answer is yes.
So i just got hidden waves today.
Yeah no.. if i were not decided on a li, I'd definitely be decided on him by now
Going through some memories I haven't looked at yet and uh, this is certainly a loaded statement. 😶
(This memory.... There's a whole lot to unpack here.)
So I recently opened Caleb’s Hidden Wave memory. I’ve had it for like 2 months but silly me never opened it (I thought I did) I have a habit of opening the memories late because I like to take my time and get distracted with other things (like scrolling on tumblr, like, like, reblog)
What I learned about Caleb is how stubborn he is. I was really surprised 😮 and then I realized, oh…. We are similar. When we we vulnerable and 🤢 we want to be left alone. We don’t want people to see us at our lowest. And I started thinking… 🤔 no wonder I was smitten with him from the login page.
Also, what I like about Caleb is he seems very determined and loyal. He knows what he wants. I feel like he would move time and space for MC or rip it apart?
I was DOOMED the moment I read that he was standing in the rain for god knows how long because he didn't want to interrupt her dinner with friends or make her uncomfortable. This man— the one who spoke about faking her funeral and building her a maze so he could keep her with him forever—was WORRIED SICK, called her several times, and when he found her, he just kept his watch and waited for her to say goodbye to her friends so he could drive her home. Not only he didn't scold her, but he also tried to hide that he got sick literally BECAUSE OF HER (ofc standing in the rain was his choice, but anyway).
I wasn't even a bit interested in Caleb when he was announced, but almost each of his memories— and especially the Hidden Waves— tears my heart into SHREDS.
His character is so complex and morally ambigious and he is so BROKEN with his love I can't.
I'm falling in love😭
