Hironette
Marinette graduated high school at sixteen before moving to San Fransokyo with Luka. With promises from both Kagami and Chloe that they'd join them in a year. Jagged and Penny both helped them find a home that would fit four. Marinette did not think he would buy them a mansion, but she really should've seen it coming. Their neighbors were the Fredericksons. A wealthy family, that Jagged had known for a while. Penny also helped them with the emancipation papers since both were sixteen and seventeen respectively.
Drabble prompt 12: Can I be of assistance?
Hiro Hamada was having a block. He needed to make something new for the team but he was an engineer not a fashion designer or anything ! Beside those new suits needed to include their upgrades.
His head hit the table in front of him. He kept hitting it as he muttered about “empty brains” and “stupid suits”.
Or at least he did until he heard a muffled chuckle, he raised his head to meet stunning bluebell eyes. The girl stopped laughing and blushed when she noticed she been caught.
“Sorry, but you were quiet entertaining to watch from here...” the girl said shippishly
And of course all he could let out was an incoherent mumble. Hiro cleared his throat, trying to not blush at the girl’s smile.
“Excuse me, who are you ?” The boy grimaced at how rude it could seem.
She blinked in surprise before she registered the words and made a squeak of surprise.
"I'm sorry ! I'm Marinette ! My mentor told me I could learn a lot and win inspiration in this school so I transfered from my former school." She explained, offering her hand for a handshake.
Hiro made a small smile and shook her hand.
"I'm Hiro, what do you study ? How is it to have a mentor ?"
"I'm a textile engineer. Hmm, Ms Mode is really great, though a little demanding but working under her is a dream come true." Marinette sighed.
“Ms Mode like in... Edna Mode ? Designer of super-heroes, Edna Mode ?” the half-japonese boy gaped.
The french girl let out another giggle.
“Yes, this Edna Mode, not that there’s anyone who would dare wearing her name” Marinette rolled her eyes before beaming at him. "Now can I know what drove you to hit your head on this table" she teased.
Hiro blushed before stuttering an answer " I- um - see I was um- I'm trying to design suits for the local super-heroes but well it's not my best work until now..."
The girl raised an eyebrow "Well then, Can I be of assistance ? I AM a fashion designer on top of a textile engineer after all".
Hiro couldn't help but think she had a beautiful smile and liked the way her eyes spakled at the mention of designing.
"Sure."
Sorry it took so long i was just so taken into classes...
I'm not sure about the end but i still can rewrite in the future...
All because of Cass
Sooooo idk how you’ll react but heres an attempt at Hironette. If this flops I won’t continue. THat means there’s potential for a second chapter, idk tho. I hope you enjoy. This is just like super quick.
The Master: Master List
----------------------------------------
“Good morning Aunt Cass, I gotta run or I’ll be late for school,” Hiro says, grabbing a piece of toast before running down the stairs.
“Wait! I need to talk to you!” Cass calls after the noir haired teen.
“What! I can’t hear you! I’m walking out the door!” Hiro calls before running down the street and towards his school. His friends may have graduated, but once or twice a week they promise to eat with each other. They still go out and help fight crime and they’re family. After school, he runs home to grab his suit so he can go out with the rest of his friends.
As he walks in the door, and the bell rings he hears a cheerful voice. “Hello welcome to the Lucky Cat Cafe.”
“Umm hi,” Hiro said before rushing towards the stairs.
“Wait! You can’t go up there, that’s the owner’s house!” she exclaims, following after him. She grabbed his arm, which made him do a jerk-twist motion. That’s how he ended up under a total, not to mention beautiful, stranger, whose face was completely red and her bright blue eyes wide. He guessed he looked the was the same way.
“What the commotion--- oh my god!” Cass laughs, almost falling down the stairs as the girl stood up. When she stood up, she held out a hand to help him up. “Hiro, this is what I was trying to talk to you this morning.”
“What did you wax the stairs?” he answered, brushing himself off before looking at the girl. She was wearing a black and white striped off the shoulder long-sleeved shirt with a navy blue high waisted skater skirt, with black ballet flats.
“Sorry, Cass, I didn’t realize he is your nephew. I..” her breath hitched, looking at Hiro again. “I’m going to get back to work. I’m sorry Hiro.”
“Wait! What’s your name?”
“Oh,” she said, looking over her shoulder. “I’m Marinette.” She said before collecting plates from a table.
“Wow,” he mutters before turning to walk up the steps just to be met by Aunt Cass.
“Soooooo?” Cass smirks.
“What do you mean so?” Hiro said, trying to cover his blush as she walked passed her.
“I see you blushing, do you like her?” Cass asks, following Hiro up the steps.
“I just met her,” Hiro said, putting a hand over his mouth before running up the steps. “I have homework to do, see you later.”
“Wait I need to talk to you!”
“What else is there to talk about?” He asked, turning from his spot on the stairs that head up to his room.
“I’m inviting Marinette for dinner so I can get to know her better, and I would like it if you would join,” Cass smiled.
“Ok cool, can I bring Baymax?”
“Maybe bring him down after dinner,” Cass negotiates, grabbing pots from the cabinet.
“Of course just text me ten minutes before dinner, Thank you, Aunt Cass, you’re the best,” Hiro said, rushing up the stairs. “Wow… just wow.” Hiro sighs before falling down onto his bed.
“Your dopamine levels are rising, did you meet someone you like?” Baymax asks after he finished inflating himself and scanning Hiro.
“Yes, she’s beautiful, you’re going to meet her later, but before that, we’re patrolling,” Hiro said, standing up and grabbing his suit along with Baymax’s suit. They spent time flying around, all together it was uneventful. He ran into Fred on his way back. “Hey Freddie, anything good tonight?”
“Nah, dude just some fans asking for pictures, a petty robber, ya know the usual,” Fred said. “How about you?”
“Just flew a bit, heading back to Aunt Cass’ I have dinner,” Hiro smiled.
“With a ‘beautiful’ girl as Hiro put it,” Baymax stated.
“Hiiiiiro! Do you have a crush!”
“I’ve only met her once, all I know is she has a French accent, her name is Marinette and she’s beautiful,” Hiro sighs.
“Well keep me updated about her when you figure out more,” Freddie said, jumping off the building as Hiro got Cass’s text. Hiro got back on Baymax’s back and they flew back to their house.
He had just finished taking off his suit when he heard footsteps climbing the stairs. “Hey Ummm Hiro, your aunt sent me up to call you for dinner,” Marinette said as she entered the room, he just finished pulling on his shirt. A beautiful blush spreads across her face. “Oh! I so- I’m so sorry!”
“Umm… Baymax, stay here I’ll be back in a bit, come one Marinette,” Hiro stammered, walking towards the door.
“Cass! I got him,” Marinette says, hopping down te last two steps.
“I’m sorry,” Cass says, rushing around the kitchen. “I have to go help my friend, she’s going into labor.”
“Don’t worry about it, we can reschedule!” Marinette brushed off with a smile.
“No! Don’t worry about it, there’s plenty of food, you guys eat without me, I insist,” Cass says, grabbing her coat off the hook near the stairs.
“You have a pregnant friend?” Hiro exclaims, shaking his head.
“Uhh yeah, I thought I told you about her, it doesn’t matter, I promised that I’d be there,” Cass says, rushing down the stairs.
“Soooo that was awkward, we are strangers and I don’t want to make you uncomfortable,” Marinette said, walking towards the stairs.
“No it’s fine,” Hiro says, grabbing her arm before quickly releasing it while stuttering out. “Ummm.... I mean unless you want to.”
“I don’t want to intrude,” Marinette said, looking up at him with her beautiful blue eyes.
“It’s wouldn’t be intruding, please join me, it would make my night,” he says, smoothly, before rubbing the back of his neck.
“I would love to.”

Hey you asked me to do this forever ago and I wasn’t ignoring you. I realized that it had been years since I had actually watched Big Hero 6 so I wanted to go back and try to find Hiro’s voice. This will be the first ever cross-over type fic. The idea of the Big Hero 6 and Miraculous universe occurring at the same time has a bunch of fun potentials. I have aged up Hiro to be Marinette’s age - all events of Big Hero 6 (the movie) have already taken place. This is more slice-of-life-y than an epic storyline, but I hope that it is satisfying enough.

The Trasfer Student
Mayor Bourgeois tapped tentatively on his microphone. The resounding feedback caused the audience to flinch back.
“Apologies, apologies my beloved people of Paris.” The mayor waved his hand with a smile, “I’m sure you are all on the edge of your seats waiting to know why I have called this conference.”
He paused to smile and wave at the cameras, ignoring how a few members of the crowd shifted uncomfortably – it was mid-July and the square that had been chosen offered no shade. Marinette half-heartedly fanned herself with the back of her guest badge and glanced over at Alya. She was busily snapping pictures of the Mayor herself.
“Alya, how long is this going to last?” Marinette whispered, unable to keep the slight whine out of her voice. She knew that complaining wasn’t fair, after all, she was who accepted Alya’s invitation to attend her first newspaper internship.
“Girl, with how narcissistic Mayor B. is? Who knows, but I can’t imagine he wants to be here for long. Look,” Alya lowered her camera for Marinette to point out the streaks of makeup running down the Mayor’s face.
Marinette smiled in amusement, “Looks like Chloe didn’t want to share her setting spray”
Indeed, as always, both Chloe and her mother were standing off to the side looking as unengaged with politics as they could. And, as always, Marinette was surprised that they bothered to show up at all. But she supposed that family unity had to count for something.
“Well, we all know that sharing is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!” Alya said mimicking Chloe’s favourite phrase. Both girls stifled their giggles when the mayor finally stopped posing for the cameras and began his speech.
“As mayor, I want the people of Paris to know, without a doubt that I care for the well-being of my citizens. Although Hawk Moth still eludes the grasp of the law, we know that our resident heroes – Ladybug and Chat Noir – are doing their upmost best. But!” The mayor shuffled his cards, “But! We Parisians can help our heroes. Together, we can be strong!”
The audience around Alya and Marinette clapped at the mayor’s words.
“Of course, strength comes from knowing when to ask for help,” The mayor continued, “Which is why it is my pleasure to introduce Hiro Hamada and his, err… assistant, who came all the way from San Fransokyo, to the stage!”
The mayor clapped and stepped to the side as a young teen ascended the steps to the podium carrying a large suitcase.
Hiro leaned into the mic and waved, “Hello Paris. Before I begin, I’m going to have to activate Baymax because, as you can tell, my French is not good enough for a full conversation.”
As Hiro started to fiddle with his suitcase, Marinette leaned over slightly, “What’s a Baymax?”
“That’s what we’re going to find out!” Alya said as she trained her recording equipment on the suitcase, “I wonder if it’s a weapon for Ladybug and Chat Noir to use to help hunt Hawk Moth!”
Marinette certainly hoped it wasn’t a weapon, but she kept her mouth shut, not wanting to interrupt Alya’s speculations. A white something started to inflate out of the casing. No way it can be a weapon, Marinette thought to herself, if a sharp wind or a hard pinch could destroy it.
It continued to inflate until a vaguely human-shaped robot emerged fully from its container.
“Hello, I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion.” It’s computerized voice rang out, “I will be providing temporary assistance as translator for Hiro.”
Hiro smiled at the robot and gave its arm a pat before beginning,
[First, I want to thank my sponsor Ms. Tsurugi. Without her keen sense for the uses of Baymax – I wouldn’t be here today.]
Both Ms. Tsurugi and Hiro bowed to each other. Hiro straightened and began his speech.
[One of the most overlooked aspects of healthcare today is mental and emotional health.]
Hiro tapped a finger to his head and then his heart.
[And if that isn’t tricky enough – I’ve heard that the supervillain you have is able to take advantage of those very things]
The crowd politely chuckled, as if to downplay how strenuous such a villain was.
[But that’s why Baymax is here. He’s fully equipped to deal with a wide variety of illnesses.]
Hiro patted the arm of the Baymax.
[This model, the Baymax T1, is equipped to hold around ten thousand medical procedures. However, this won’t be the model that Paris receives. Paris will be getting the Baymax T2. The T2 has been tailor made to incorporate more health and wellness procedures as well as speak almost any language.]
Hiro winked at the crowd.
[Wouldn’t want the doctor’s here to start worrying about their job. Obviously, the T2 isn’t supposed to take over wholesale either. He’s meant to help take the strain off all the professionals living and working in Paris. The trial period, which will be for one month’s time, for the T2 will take place at Collège Françoise Dupont, which I will be attending as the main designer to work out any kinks – should they arise.]
Hiro bowed to the crowd.
[I can now take any questions if you have them.]
Marinette tuned out as Hiro began to field questions from the very enthusiastic crowd. She had to say, she was thoroughly impressed – this might even be the best thing to happen to Paris since Ms. Bourgeois declared that the new hot fashion item was home grown flowers.
“C’mon girl, time to go,” Alya said happily.
“Go?”
“Yeah, go as in ‘go interview the new student at Collège Françoise Dupont’” Alya flicked Marinette’s badge, “Why do you think you needed a pass?”
Marinette flushed and shrugged. Honestly, she had just assumed that it was a private conference and hadn’t thought about the need for badge.
Alya waved hand, “Easier to do it out here than deal with the hassle at the mayor’s hotel. Plus, we’ll have the whole day ahead of ourselves if we get this out of the way now.”
Hiro, with the Baymax’s T1, seemed more than happy to answer all of Alya’s questions. Just as they were about to leave though, Hiro called out,
“Wait!”
Both girls turned as he hurried over. He smiled winningly at them, “I… would like… to be leaving… with the girls.”
“Uhm…,” Alya glanced over at Marinette who shrugged, “The conference.”
“Very boring!” Hiro answered, rolling his eyes, “Please, I want… to be having…a fun day. Baymax can find me later.”
Alya bit her lip but Marinette had already made her mind up, “Sure, we’d love to have you. We will be going to my house to play videogames.”
“What? But Marinette, we were going – ”
“- to my house.” Marinette gave Alya a meaningful look, “An easy activity for someone who has trouble with our language.”
“What videogame?” Hiro asked excitedly.
“Ultra-Mecha-Strike?” Marinette offered after a moment of thought.
Alya laughed, “I thought you wanted him to become our friend – not an enemy.”
Marinette blew a loose strand of hair out of her face, “I’ll go easy. Promise.”
And with that, the group took off towards Marinette’s house.
Ch. 1 - As Luck Would Have It
A/N: fanfic in progress inspired by @kceedraws‘s prompt & art about this lovely crossover ship, gonna put it up on ao3 soon hopefully
The penthouse was absolutely gorgeous. Wide windows that faced San Fransokyo’s bustling streets on the north wall, a balcony with a table and two chairs overlooking the bay on the opposite side. The tub in the restroom had twenty options of different flower-infused waters and whether or not you wanted bubbles, and the kitchen came with a fridge that could list recipes based on your taste, personal health, and whatever was inside it. Not to mention the flat-screen in the living room, or the marbled coffee table and fancy-looking leather couch, and the bedroom’s silk canopy bed and massive walk-in closet and -
“I can’t possibly accept, sir!” Marinette protested. “This is all too much. I’d be fine at the institute’s dorms, they’re cozy and with enough space for my designing-”
Gabriel Agreste tsked and waved a dismissive hand. “Don’t make a fuss. You’re here on my scholarship, and this is simply a benefit of it. Besides, a dorm is not inconspicuous enough for Ladybug activities. Here, you’ll have all the privacy you’ll need.”
“He’s got a point, Marinette,” Tikki agreed. “On-campus would be the worst place to transform, there are so many things that could go wrong and - oh, there’s even a little bed for me!”
Marinette sighed. If Tikki thought it well, then she definitely wasn’t getting out of it.
“One more thing,” Gabriel Agreste said. “Follow me, ma chère.”
Marinette fell in love the moment they stepped inside - it was a fashion designer’s dream come true. It was the least fanciest room in the entire penthouse, with only five blank mannequins and a worktable and empty racks where fabric rolls were supposed to be. But Marinette could make the space hers, fill it with life and love and all her ideas. And for a moment, she couldn’t speak.
So she threw her arms around Gabriel Agreste and squeezed him tight.
Mr. Agreste blinked rapidly, and he awkwardly patted her shoulder, but he seemed to understand. “Well, then. I’ll leave you to get settled. Keep me updated, yes? If you need anything, do not hesitate to ask.”
After Mr. Agreste left, Marinette fluttered around the suite, doing her best to make it feel like home. She taped pictures of her friends and family next to her bed, unpacked her things - even with three whole boxes of clothes and accessories, the closet still wasn’t full - and spent a weirdly unnecessary amount of time exploring the restroom amenities. She emerged from the tub hours later, the grime of the airplane washed away by a lavender bubble bath.
“You smell lovely, Marinette,” Tikki complimented. “You know, it really is so kind of Mr. Agreste to do this for us.”
“I know!” Marinette’s voice was muffled by her rummaging through the closet. “Who would have thought that one year after defeating him we’d be here - in America, on a scholarship in his name, and him being a Ladybug supporter. My supporter. It feels almost like a dream.”
“A dream in which Ladybug leaves Paris.” Tikki sighed wistfully. “I wonder how Adrien will do without us?”
“That silly kitty will be fine. He and Master Fu have the other Miraculouses to help them out. Besides,” Marinette added, “’Ladybug’ is looking forward to meeting San Frasokyo’s superhero team on a night patrol. When do you think we’ll get to see them?”
Tikki fixed Marinette with a stern glare. “Not until you’re settled in. You need to adjust to the time zone, and get ready for school, and make some friends who have your back before anything else. I can’t stand the idea of you getting hurt because you feel out of place.”
“Okay, okay.” Marinette wriggled on a jacket. “Done! Let’s go exploring then, Tikki, we can see what’s around. I want to find a good bakery as fast as possible.”
“Homesick already, Marinette?” Tikki teased.
Marinette glanced at the photos on the wall and smiled. “Something like that.”
Hironette. A date on the glider blimp things in the city, with Baymax ruining the moment.
Here ya go!
-_-_-_-
The setting was perfect.
It was dark out, and while the light pollution from the city made it impossible to see the stars, they had a perfect view of the beautiful city lights.
Hiro was the one who had asked Marinette out on a date. Kind of.
They had been dancing around each other for a month before he came out with a jumbled mess of a sentence that was supposed to sound like him asking her out.
Marinette had gracefully accepted the invitation, ignoring his little mess up, something Hiro greatly appreciated.
Now, as the two looked out at the city together, Hiro couldn’t help but wonder why they hadn’t done this sooner.
“Okay, I’ll bite, maybe this view is better than that of the Eiffel tower. Maybe.”
Hiro snorted, lightly bumping Marinette’s shoulder with his own, Marinette returning the favor.
“You know...” Marinette mumbled. “I really enjoyed tonight.” She looked up at him through her lashes, cheeks flushed sightly.
“Yeah,” Hiro breathed. “Me too.”
Slowly, the two leaned in closer and closer, only an inch between them when.
“Both of your heartrates have risen at an alarmingly fast rate. Perhaps it is best if we get down now,” Baymax’s voice cut in.
Faintly down on land, people could hear the loud cackling of a girl, and the frustrated groan of a boy.
