🇪🇸 HispanTV, un canal de televisión controlado por el régimen de Irán, es acusado de promover antisemitismo y desinformación en Latinoamérica. Según el informe de la Liga Antidifamación (ADL), HispanTV tiene un papel clave en la propagación del odio hacia los judíos y el sionismo a través de redes sociales y su señal a más de 600 millones de hispanohablantes. La propaganda difundida por este canal incluye teorías conspirativas, como la acusación de que los judíos están detrás de la pandemia de COVID-19, o que controlan la industria del cine en EE.UU. Además, se ha vinculado a HispanTV con el canal Telesur en Venezuela, donde el contenido anti-israelí también tiene presencia. 🇺🇸 HispanTV, a television channel controlled by the Iranian regime, is accused of promoting anti-Semitism and misinformation in Latin America. According to the report by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), HispanTV plays a key role in spreading hate against Jews and Zionism through social media and broadcasting to over 600 million Spanish speakers. The propaganda broadcast by this channel includes conspiracy theories, such as accusing Jews of being behind the COVID-19 pandemic or controlling the Hollywood film industry. HispanTV is also linked to the Telesur network in Venezuela, where anti-Israel content is also broadcasted. The channel minimizes the 1994 AMIA bombing in Argentina, which was attributed to Iran and the Hezbollah group, and continues to spread misinformation about conflicts in the Middle East. According to analysts, Iran's goal is to gain support from left-wing governments in Latin America and spread its radical ideology.

New Spanish deputy prime minister hosted antisemitic TV debate, by Orlando Radice

Comments in a discussion presided over by Pablo Iglesias included, 'big financial institutions on Wall Street are practically in the hands of Jews'

One of Spain’s four new deputy prime ministers, Pablo Iglesias, hosted a TV talkshow about the “power of the Zionist lobby” in which his guests lined up to voice antisemitic conspiracy theories.

In a video of Fort Apache, broadcast in April 2018 by the Iran-funded HispanTV, Mr Iglesias can be seen nodding and smiling as panel members hold forth about how Wall Street is “practically in the hands of Jews”, and the “huge” media power of the pro-Israel lobby which “determines” US foreign policy.

The leader of the far-left party Unidas Podemos ('Together We Can'), who was made deputy prime minister for “social rights” in Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez’s coalition government on Thursday, says at the start of the show, “Today we are talking about the power of the Zionist lobby over American politics”.

In her own introductory comments, journalist Teresa Aranguren, a self-described Middle East specialist and “defender of the Palestinian cause”, claims, "The pro-Israel lobby has the power to configure US policies from the inside, to the point where one can ask whether it directs American policy, rather than the other way around".

Another panel member, Carlos Enrique Bayo, a journalist for Spanish news website Público, says: “This lobby obviously has enormous media and communications power – but it also has huge economic power… big financial institutions on Wall Street are practically in the hands of Jews".

Liliana Córdova, co-founder of Red Internacional Judía Antisionista, states: "In this lobby you have foundations, like the Anti-Defamation League, which have fabulous amounts of money.”

She also claims that Israel has supported dictatorships and authoritarian regimes around the world, such as “the Moroccan monarchy, Pinochet, the Argentinian junta, Suharto”.

Manolo Monereo, a former Podemos parliamentarian, says: “It’s more than a lobby… It has so much influence that it can determine North America’s international policy, concretely in the Middle East.”

The Anti-Defamation League has stated that “Like its English-language sister station Press TV, HispanTV regularly broadcasts antisemitic and anti-Zionist conspiracy theories.”

Mr Igelesias’s party, Unidas Podemos, did not answer a request for comment.
