mphfpc au but it’s where Ricky gets to be a peculiar now and discovers his peculiarity around the same time Jake does but his peculiarity is that he can just phase through stuff but the down side is that people can just phase through HIM so he’s kinda like a ghost but like still sorta visible but people can’t like touch him or feel his touch

and now Jacob has to face the fact that he’s maybe never gonna be able to truly ever feel Ricky’s touch, hugs, hand holding, or anything like that ever again

oooh, ok, yeah, good valid question

so, the answer is complicated; yes and no.

ricky isn't a minor anymore. jacob still is. so while we are in the present day scenario of the fic (which takes place in 2021, minus covid this is a no covid world because i can do whatever), there will be no ship aspect. unless there is a moment of reminiscing on what was once there.

what i mean by that is, i totally want to include some flashback/past scenes, in which there will be some implied hollowpunk going on (although it'll mostly be one sided...keyword mostly).

so to answer the question, yeah? there will be. but it won't take place through the actual story that is laid out if that makes sense.

so please don't ship my version of an older ricky with a still 16 year old jacob please. 🙏

That's an interesting question, lol. I have other ships, but I don't usually go into detail about them, but I'll mention them here:

Fiona and Hugh : this is the best of all, and that's undeniable.

Millard and Lily: I'm cheesy and kind of romantic, and I love how poetic it sounds that an invisible boy is dating a blind girl. And Lily is responsible for Millard developing a bit of empathy canonically; I love that girl.

Emma and Bronwyn: they would totally be right for each other, and it would definitely be much healthier than any of Emma's relationships. I just didn't talk much about it because I think Emma needs a few good years of therapy before dating again; I don't want her unresolved past relationships to accidentally affect Bronwyn.

Miss Avocet and Miss Bunting: I love the idea of older lesbians ruling the world regardless of generation.

And Jacob and Rick deserve an honorable mention because it would have been healthy and fun.

(It's a habit of mine to change my photo at least once a year, usually some people take a while to recognize me again lol)

Im thinking of making a rewrite of the MPHFPC books so we can see more of Ricky and the other characters who’s trauma RR forgot (Fiona, Enoch, Horace, Lily, Millard, etc) but I wanna make it a comic.. I’ve been planning this with a friend but I lost contact with them (long story) and like.. I don’t wanna mischaracterize the peculiars too much and have people burn me at the stake..

Peculiars of Tumblr would you guys possibly like a rewrite even though it would prolly be shitty and have 100000 plot holes but I can guarantee you Abe’s wife will NOT look like Emma and it wont have any of that ‘marrying another person who looks like your first love’ shit and it’ll also have yaoi between Enoch and Horace (implied) and Ricky and Jacob (they kiss hehehe..). Also im keeping Fugh they just add Millard to the mix because I love Millard/Hugh/Fiona and Hughs gonna be like ‘wait the three of us arent already dating what’ when Millard confesses. Also Bronwyn will be aroace even though i love Emwyn just because I feel like it fits her a ton also Enoch will be trans. Also all the kids will be gay and there will be a whole arc where they try to fit into the modern world and explore themselves. Also Ricky will be a peculiar too but he finds out in the second book (He’s a siren because my friend has a hc of him being in a band) and Map Of Days will still happen but Rickys there and calls all the peculiars out on their bs because I love ricky.

Im thinking of posting my hcs soon.. Like sexuality and gender hcs..
