So I might've just came up with the great idea to just start putting my lil fantasies to words again... And the fact that there's little to no Jesse Rutherford x Male Reader is utterly frustrating to say the least. I wrote some in the past, but they're all #private (ha). This will be incredibly useful for writing the more delinquent side of the guys, and just some general teen misbehavior! I’ll be sure to specify what’s a more delinquent (Basically questionable legality and more tough) and what’s more every day trouble making. With *

Now, these aren’t really “activities” but are some more things related to the JD type, Not all may apply but I still find it useful for a fuller image or maybe other Greasers to apply it to:

Keep in mind this is all before schools/most places had “Zero tolerance” rules, you used to be able to have some knives etc in school (for example someone may use a knife to cut an apple etc)

This was a time when corporal punishment was still intact, a punishment could be beaten by a teacher. Wrapped on the knuckles with a ruler or hit with a paddle seem to be the most “common” and unsurprising, only made the tough kids act up more

Sometimes another punishment would be cleaning up or some sort of task around the school (after school or weekends)

Then you have your standard sent to the office -> principle-> Detention -> Suspension -> expulsion pathway. Detention and actual reprimands were given out … sometimes too liberally

Remedial classes! For those behind, Pony mentions a lot of the Greasers either fall into this category or just are assumed to be (not always)

Schools also had more alternative pathway classes, Auto shop, wood shop, metal shop etc. for the kids more likely for labor than college (a lot of JD’s and remedial types fall into these classes/depend on them and PE. However do not associate job skill with bad at school or delinquent. There is a relation but not— don’t stereotype all.)

Behavior bad? Or grades really bad? Reform school, Trade school, vocational schools

Sometimes kids aren’t expelled they just drop out, for a whole variety of reasons

Lot of loitering, like hanging in the lot or pool halls etc

A neat detail could be rough or even black thumbs from constant lighter use!

Being profiled/singled out. Subject to more suspicion and searches. If something bad goes on JDs are the first to be assumed, or judged. Again could just be hanging out somewhere and people could be uncomfortable/believe trouble is about to form

Another thing to consider is that greasers are also associated with bullies for a reason (talk about this in some of my posts, won’t re go over it here) Sometimes they’re assholes , starting fights, taking lunch money etc. lashing out and projecting at the world because of their own problems… which is a bit of a trope/stereotype within itself but occasionally true and is in the case of the Curtis gang (some anyway) it’s ok if they’re a little mean to those not in their group. Add layers!
