Jason who has Lazarus Pit madness but calms down when he sees Damian, and is even more effective when holding him.

It first started out when Jason was catatonic. Damian would spend his time looking after Jason, sometimes when Jason was sitting, Damian would sit on top, reading a book for him. All Jason did was stroke Damian's hair, as if he was a fragile thing.

They got so close that as soon as Jason spotted Damian, he would hover towards the little boy until he was hugging him.

At first, Damian was annoyed and tried to resist saying that it's inappropriate for the demon heir to be treated like this. But then, after countless attempts, Damian slowly stopped resisting and even leaned into the hugs, only mumbling a complaint.

After Jason was dunked into the neon green unholy water, he became more active, more talkative.

But despite that, his habits from when he was catatonic was still there. Whenever he spotted Damian, as if his body was on autopilot, he'd walk towards Damian and pick him up into a hug when he got close enough.

Jason didn't understand what was going on but he liked it. It felt comforting, therapeutic in a way.

And then, for the first time since coming out of the mountain dew, he was seperated from Damian and had his first session with the Pit madness, green taking over all his senses.

He went full on crazy, killing everyone in sight. All the assassin's in the LOA who were notified of what happened tried to stop him, even Talia came at one point. But nothing he did seemed to make the green go away.

Until finally, in the corner of his eye, he sees little ol Damian. As if Damian was a calming agent, Jason felt his body lax, slowly trudging towards the little boy. The green in his eyes receeding after hours of glowing.

Talia stepped in front of Damian, eyes narrowed in suspicious at what Jason would do next.

Jason just ignored her and continues walking, towards the one person who makes him feel safe.

Damian who arrived in the middle of Jason's bloodbath stares as he walks closer but then snaps out of it. He knows his akh would never hurt him, if anything, he'd hurt himself than let any harm befall him.

And so, he takes a step out of his mother's protection, "akhi?" Damian asks in a small voice, unsure.

"D- Damian" Jason stutters out, the distance between the two lessened and now, they were within touching distance.

In the next second, with extraordinary speed, Jason squeezed Damian into his embrace. His shoulders that were so full of tension started relaxing. He rubs his cheeks on top of Damian's head saying nothing while everyone who survived stare.

Talia was bewildered, she never thought there'd be something to calm the Pit madness, certainly nothing for his father.

So if Damian can calm the boy down, it'd be best to leave them together, they're already close so they probably won't decline the opportunity to stay close to one another.

Something i think is really interesting is that we've seen "rage baiting" work on Louis, but not actually Lestat.

The first interaction they have, Lestat pisses Louis off, insults and offends him, and left him wanting to murder and be Lestat.

Obviously Antoinette singing the song was a return to this tactic, pull the same thread of outrage, and here comes Louis across the river after years of gifts and begging did not move him.

Louis talks bad in the interview in 1973, not because inducing rage has worked to draw out Lestat, but because it's worked on him.

And based on what we know, it seems like he's still playing with that tactic, which I think could be very interesting.

The times Louis has said or done things to *intentionally* anger/hurt Lestat ("Here's your death" or "You're always gonna be alone") we don't see Lestat blow up or chase after him. The opposite actually.

We'll have a Lestat who's just read their love story as a hunting, their lives together as a prison, and himself as the monster throughout Louis' story. And a Louis that still thinks poking the bear will get him out of his cave.

It's super interesting, anon, especially because I do think they're motivated very differently in that Lestat baits to try and pull Louis closer, whereas Louis has, generally speaking, done it to push Lestat away or to hurt him when he himself is feeling low. Louis even acknowledges this himself! Twice!

When Louis' tried to get Lestat to do what he wants in their Rue Royale era, he generally went for the charm offensive, but that's clearly not going to work this season if Lestat's gone no-contact with him, which it does seem like he has. Him taking a page out of Lestat's book as a result and trying to force his hand is a really fun switch-up of their dynamic, but you're right that it doesn't usually work with Lestat, who typically goes inwards when Louis' trying to provoke him. Even in that scene from 1.05 with them bickering it ends with Lestat leaving.

There are exceptions though, of course, like the '73 interview which who knows if that would've worked (I tend to suspect not), and Louis hooking up with Jonah, which was less bait, I think, so much as calling Lestat's bluff, haha, and it didn't so much pull Lestat back to him as it did cause him to have a meltdown, which looks like it's more likely to be echoed in the mediation scene to me. Otherwise though, I think it will feel different this season, because Louis doesn't seem like he's necessarily baiting him so much beyond that to me, rather it looks like he might be finding ways to force Lestat to be around him, which is also a very fun shift in their dynamic! I honestly can't wait to see how it all plays out.

maybe this is my limited knowledge of all of the expanded material stuff about the force talking but i recently saw a post where someone was saying they couldn't reconcile the different views two jedi had on the force and how it manifasted and op was talking about it like the difference in interpretation was some kind of issue. i get why someone might think that but personally i found it more intresting than a plot hole.

different force sensitive characters are going to think of the force and the light side and what it truly means differently and none of them would necessarily be wrong. being a jedi is a lifestyle and the order pulls a lot from different religions and even with the midichlorians adding "rules" to the whole thing i don't think there's one specific way to view it. it's way more compelling to see how different people grapple with the path they chose and the mystical force they chose to serve. there's SO MUCH space for different character interpretations of how the force manifests itself and what it rapresents and i wish that was explored more. i personally find that characters' relationships with the force and their views on how best to "serve" it to be incredibly intresting. it says a lot about them as people so i don't really mind there being a difference in between two valid views.

Nadi wouldn’t your last post justify a lot of bad behavior in this world? Maybe I misunderstood.

I’ve been asked once, we were in philosophy class and talking about religion. I’m not religious. When I was expressing my reasoning behind it, I got asked a question by two boys in my class: “Well then, what is stopping you from killing people?”

For a bit I thought that they were joking. I’d seen that question going around on social media at the time, but I didn’t think religious people were actually asking it. I told them simply, I don’t need to believe in a higher power to know someone’s life isn’t in my hands. I’ve never thought about it, I’ve never even glimpsed at a far fetched idea. If you are the one who needs restraining over this, especially for selfish reasons because they do this in order to go to heaven and not suffer in hell, then wouldn’t that make them a worse person?

I feel like I deviated a lot from the topic, but I don’t want to accept or forgive people for some very wrong things, things that hurt masses, just because it was written for them.

I was simply thinking out loud, and wondering the realities of this world, not justifying anything, sorry if it came off like that ♥️

I know a lot, but I don’t know all so I’m just wondering if we take the morality out of it, and think in terms of astrology and fates in an objective way, are certain people really just doomed to certain things from the beginning or not. I wonder what astro girlies would say.

I think the idea that if you don’t believe in a higher power so let’s start killing people comes from the thinking that, it probably means you believe you only live once with no after life and there’s nobody holding you back, so why not do whatever you want and for some it means the evilest of things for some reason.

You don’t live once, you live once this life, but not overall, which is where my past sins and blessings thought came in.

Least favorite thing about rusame...

In my interpretation of rusame, I often center the relationship on the idea that while they do love each other, they are messy and probably better apart then together. While at the same time, there relationship makes a lot of sense and its a never ending cycle. Ivan and Alfred have a very passionate relationship. Which isn't BAD, but it can be...a lot. They have their moments of domestic fluff here and there. And they do love each other. But overall, the are so often on high alert and very rarely completely relaxed. They know every inch each of one another. inside and out. Yet there is still so much anxiety that exists between them. They also have a harmful habit of truly bringing out the worst in one another. Like, it can get really bad for both of them in terms of mental, emotional, and physcal health.

At least for Alfred, in the opinion of his freinds and family, his relationships outside of Ivan are viewed as being much healthier, stable, and just overall more preferable. Which...is likely why Alfred finds himself so often drawn back to Ivan. He loves his other partners for a number if them specific reasons, but fines Ivan exciting and enthralling

Top of the head, Alfred and Toris are surprisingly a pretty darn healthy couple. Alfred is a talker and is reactive in many ways, while Toris is known in Europe as being able to hold is own verbally and physically. Together, there are a lot of quiet nights in. Walks through the woods, or lunch in a garden. Toris really enjoys just hearing Alfred talk about the things that intrest him. Alfred like hearing Toris talk about history and the days of old. Toris is probably one of the few Europeans whos opinion and perspective actuly hold weight in Alfreds mind. Alfred and Toris are seemingly more emotionally regulated when they are together in a way that is oddly healthy and normal even from the perspective of health nation relationships . Yet, contrary to the wishes of their freinds/family, its neither of their main relationships and both end up drifting back to their more excitable and chaotic partner.
