Here’s something I originally drew for a Fan Art Contest organized by Nintendo France in 2017. We were supposed to draw our favorite character from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I didn’t know which one to choose so I ended up drawing Princess Zelda herself.

In French, they called these flowers “Princesses of serenity”, which is probably what I would also call this piece if I had to pick a name, but I like “Serenity” or “The Princesse(s) and the Frog” as well :)

I didn’t win anything but I didn’t mind; daring to enter the contest in the first place was already a huge step and victory for me.

Thank you for being one of the best games I’ve ever played and still, to this day, the most rewarding gaming experience I’ve had in my life 🩵

Did you ever notice in this memory that there’s one word (at least in the English version) that does not match what she actually says? The voiced line is: “We wouldn’t be in a controlled environment out here, but with your level of physical fitness...”

The conjunction “but” in the voiced line was switched for “and” in the text, or visa versa. Such a small thing, but it holds a different meaning even with that one word changed.
