Early Zephyr Visit
Wanting a change of scenery, Aleyanna had gone off for a jog from Lion’s Arch and north into the farmlands of Kryta. Her route eventually took her to the Jardin-Valdis estate at the Ascalon Settlement, and since she was in the area, she decided to drop by and see if any of her friends were there. To her pleasant surprise, the guard beckoned her in and almost immediately, she could overhear Alex plan out a new workspace of sorts.
After being beckoned in, the discussion commenced with Alex remarking how quiet the estate was now that Amelia was gone. It had gone on to discussing raising kids and the practice of keeping them under control. It also eventually led to the revelation that Mirex was having triplets. While Aleyanna was happy for them all, she also knew they were understanding the potential complications, which was important to understand.
When Alex asked about what brought Aley over, she mentioned her run, to which Alex remarked that the operative seemed to more openly enjoy being away from the Refuge since the ball. Aleyanna then remarked she did enjoy the Refuge, but it was the antics of Luxelen being a tad impulsive that made her want to get out more. Alex also brought up whether she and the Cartwrights were still getting along well, to which Aleyanna answered in the affirmative.
That threat aside, Alex presented Aleyanna with her sketchbook so the operative could see the work in progress for the lab at the estate. It was to be primarily for research and low risk experiments, with the major concern in getting equipment and fixtures moved in. Aleyanna remarked the importance of providing food as a good incentive for good work. This was in turn met with mention of the new cook coming in.
The last bit of meaningful discussion revolved around the importance of friends, along with talking about their parents, good and bad. The new running joke made then was how Aleyanna’s mother along with Alex’s father would be a match made in the Realm of Torment. Thankfully, that scenario did not come to fruition.
With the chiming of the clock, the pair said their goodbyes, as Alex had to check on Mirex and get dinner, while Aleyanna had to make the trip back to the airshop docks to return to the Refuge. All in all, it had been a good visit for Aleyanna, especially since she was able to spend time and maintain a valued friendship with one of her best friends.
You're always welcome Diana!
favourtie patients
It was around 11 am, a message appeared on the computer, ‘Mrs M has asked for Dr Kersh to call her. She is very worried about Mr M, she feels he needs a visit’ Mr M is one of my favourite patients. I am not sure if it is OK for a doctor to have favourites. I am sure all doctors and nurses gravitate towards certain people more than others, whether because they remind them of a parent or…

House Visit
[Because @captain-outoftime was super sweet and liked this post from long ago for a fluffy starter.]
After the initial awkwardness wore off, Amelia had to admit, she was happy to have an excuse to see Steve...even if it was for something as embarrassing as being a date to her ex-fiance’s wedding.
With the wedding tomorrow, Amelia wanted to stop by and just go over a few things with Steve, get their stories straight before the wedding. She was planner like that.
Once school was finished for the day, she went home and baked some cookies as a thank you. Granted, yes, Natasha was paying him, but still. She did appreciate him agreeing to it. And for not running away when he saw it was her.
She knocked on the door of his apartment, steeling herself with a deep, calming breath.
