Distracting you with book questions! I am so dang curious about this The Kingdom of Liars book, and lowkey wanna read it now. Spill the beans! Is it really that bad?

oh my gd. so the thing about Kingdom of Liars is that i hated it, and it didn’t even have the decency to be bad in a FUN way. it wasn’t flashy or totally incomprehensible, it was just plain badly written! at every turn i was like, “why aren’t you written better? why are you like this?” and at every turn the book was like, “no idea, but hey, you want this random and unnecessary extra plot element i just found in the bottom of my bag?” and i was like “no” and it was like “too late i added it”

i don’t even know how to pick out specific things that were bad because overall the ENTIRE THING just didn’t work. characters just showed up and were there and were supposed to be important but had no personality. the main character had to survive three trials to have a chance to solve this mystery but those three trials were just.... attending three social events.......... he just had to go to them. that’s it. that’s not a plot. the book knows that’s not a plot. the book kept adding extraneous elements to make up for it. the book was bad

thank you so so much for sending these in i know i took forever to answer but it’s been so nice having them waiting here for me for when i need a lil pick me up 

1) ocean 100%, i wanna see what’s in there and talk to dolphins and stuff. like if i could be any animal i would be a dolphin, the ocean is so much more exciting than the sky like all you can do from the sky is scare people on planes and that’ll get boring after a while 

2) i’d make a gluten & dairy free version of the regular one! then i can eat them alllll

3) this is random i love it kjahdjhads i’d probably draw an orange. i’m not very good at art

4) hmm..... i’d make something to get rid of all the trash in oceans and rivers. idk what that would be, or what it would look like, but it’d do the job!

I wanted to send you an ask because I saw the last ask. Your edits are literally the greatest thing on tumblr. They're beautiful and creative, and I'm always so excited whenever I see your stuff on my dash. But especially, I love the fact that you always incorporate their ethnicities and body shapes. The diversity of TLC is part of why I love the series of so much, and the fact that you show that means the world to me! Thank you for all your amazing stuff!!

I try to represent the crew the best I can, but it’s hard finding the right pictures so I’m glad you appreciate it. I was the exact same way reading it. I was like finally, some diversity, uniqueness!!

Jumping in on the Kiko discourse: I could live with another heteronormative pairing (*cries over Emiko*), but what's unacceptable is the verbal abuse and hatred being passed off as underlying sexual attraction. How can she write so many beautiful couples who love and support each other and then expect us to support one where the guy is awful and mean to her? There's no bouncing back from Kinney telling Iko that's she not human and therefore her emotions are invalid.
