Gentle reminder that the whole statement of;

"Implied doesn't mean canon" doesn't make sense

The very definition of implied is "suggested but not directly expressed"

There's also "indicate the truth or existence of (something) by suggestion rather than explicit reference" for the meaning of imply

Implications in media are meant to subtly tell you, to hint at you that something is canon.

Cuz guess what? You don't need something to be stated by the game/show or the ones who made it for it to be canon. You can take the hints and implications in said media to come to that conclusion yourself :)
