as a person who has the craziest arachnophobia i feel like ron’s encounter with aragog was one of the most traumatic things that’s ever happened to him and now i see his nightmares about spiders a completely understandable after effect. i mean he isn’t as terrified of them as some people (like me) but i am amazed by how brave he was. i would have died out of fear i think
