Björg could also have gotten a Deadly Nadder or Speedstinger but i laughed at their size difference when i drew the Stormcutter and here we are XD

Instead her family actually raises Speedstingers from egg to hunt fish for them! So they have a small pack of Speedstingers to fish for them haha

Björg has an older brother named Thora who is also very mischievous but in a kinder way, Björg can be cruel with her pranks which goes against her older brothers nature and he's a lot shyer or rather calm.

Thora is a trader and is often out n about with his Deadly Nadder (also nameless help) to trade goodies for their island to others.

I wish people wouldn't limit themselves to the Httyd movie trilogy. Yes, the movies are great (read: first movie is great, the others debatable) but there is also "Riders of Berk" and "Race to the Edge", two amazing series with extra world building and some of the greatest villains in the franchise. There are TEN comic books with amazing art and even more world building.

But, Most importantly of all, there is the book series it was based on! Yes, it's very different but that's means you get to read an entirely different but great story while seeing where the film makers took inspiration and also be blessed with Cressida Cowell's story telling which is the entire reason why we have the franchise!

If you like something, don't limit yourself to the main thing only!

I heard this song today and it reminded me so much of Hiccup and Toothless so i decided to do this edit. I didn't put much work in it so it looks like that. But yeah, this song made me so sad, i still haven't really realised the Httyd franchise is over now. For almost 6 years now, Httyd was and still is my reason to life. I didn't think about anything else. It was amazing to experience the Rtte era here on tumblr and twitter. These were seriously the best days. Then Rtte ended and for me it felt like the end of the world. I cried all night after the 6th season was released. But the franchise wasn't over yet , the fandom was still waiting for Httyd 3, so actually everything was okay. In June 2018, I went to the Httyd 3 preview at Annecy festival. It was the best day of my life, I met Simon Otto and so many other people who had the same passion as me and it was just amazing. The second trailer followed, and the closer the release of Httyd 3 came the more i wished it to just not get released. I hated how sad the trailers made meand how close the end has come. In December 2018 I got tickets for Httyd in concert in Luzern for Christmas. I went there with my best friend and we had so much fun. But then february came, i watched it the first time in the cinema on feb 3 with @katsukiski and 3 others frends. It was so sad and me and @katsukiski cried like so much and it felt like my life was over. I watched Httyd 3, in total 14 times in the cinema. The fandom slowly started dying. Everything just made me so sad many friends i made in the fandom left and not having Httyd to distract my mind, my cptsd and eating disorder really started to show, so I totally forgot the release of Homecoming because I was in the hospital. Until today my heart breaks everytime I think about the ending of the Httyd franchise. I miss my Hiccup and Toothless and the fandom so much. Still the support Httyd gives me is undescribable and without the franchise i would be dead by now. I will forever stay in this fandom even if i'm the only person left one day. I will always write fanfiction and forever Hiccup and Toothless will be the most important part of my life.

I actually feel bad for those who are new to the fandom and fall right into the tv series... they didn't get to appreciate fully the characters in the movies before they fall into that mess of characterizations... it's sad. I wish the series didn't exist in the first place... it ruined so much for me idk

I mean, I learned early on not to take it too seriously, so I can’t say it ruined anything for me. It’s nice that it exists in the sense that more people will be drawn to the HTTYD franchise. I agree that it’s a shame they didn’t come in with the experience of the first movie, even if everything after is practically disappointing.

The thing about HTTYD is that it was a very, very old story of the Underdog, and the Alliance, and the Saving of the Day. Its the same story told a thousand times in a thousand different ways. But there was something extra in this one, something that made hundreds of thousands of people lean on it. Despite the crappy marketing and the basic-bitch plot line, the execution was phenomenal. It was so organic, and meaningful, and nuanced, and alive. From Hiccup’s strained relationship with his father and the village, to Astrid’s drive to protect the village, to the teens’ clique culture, down to Ruffnut rolling her eyes at Astrid’s self-critique. It wasn’t just WHAM BAM POW DRAGONS, it was the soft intricacies of relationships. Every glance and sigh and glare and gesture painted a far more colorful picture for each character and their relationship with one another.

It’s what anchored so many of us to this story, and when we learned there was going to be a TV series “bridging” the movies, we already had certain expectations. Many were even simple necessities.

We needed Hiccup coming to terms with being accepted by the village… for old habits to die hard. We needed struggles and adjustments to his leg: pain and learning and frustration. We needed home interactions of each Berk teen. Stoick’s pride in his son and his acclimation to Toothless. Ruffnut’s interest in Hiccup. Snotlout’s interest in Astrid. We needed more bitterness and escape and annoyance and joy. All those tiny emotions and actions that enriched the film.

It didn’t need to be as beautifully rendered as the movie, we just needed the same quality of story.

Not poop jokes, or the gary stu protagonist, or command attacks.
