Hi, everyone :)

My shrine/altar to Xochipilli is complete! This will be my shrine until I move out of my parents’ house. (Although, I will probably add crystals to it every so often.) I am very happy with how everything worked out. The round painting, the main ixiptla, is the one I did of Xochipilli in his honor because he is the deity who calls to me the strongest and is my patron deity. However, Huitzilopochli had been calling to me every so often and he visited me in a dream a couple days ago, so I added an honorary ixiptla of him to the candle vase and burnt some of my blood as an offering. I’m not sure why Huitzilopochli would call to me, seeing as I am not a warrior and I have no real way of burning human hearts in his honor, but he is not a god I want to piss off or ignore so I will heed his call.

In any case, I’m very glad I decided to follow this new religious path. I never imagined I would ever be a religious person who performs any sort of rituals, but this has been a very positive journey so far and I feel like it will remain positive. I plan on continuing down this path for a very long time. I am certain this is not a phase that I will grow out of or grow bored of.
