Inktober Day 14: Human

They are on a date in the human world and can't agree on what to do! I've seen so many amazing interpretations of Blitz's human disguise, but my personal favourites are ones where he's got a mohawk and looks like a little punk haha. It was actually a lot of fun to draw them as humans!

i really was hating the shading on the first several portraits i did so i redid the coloring on all of them to flats and i feel a lot better now

also made alastor's colors match the outfit i designed for him and completely redid caelum/stolas' color scheme to be more in line with his human form in the show, it just looks better even with that insane level of pale

Ok, here are my thoughts on the new Helluva Boss episode!!! 😈😈😈😈

It’s a pretty big summary and yes there ARE plenty of spoilers, so you’ve been warned!!!

I liked it, though my main complaint is that we didn’t ANY mentionings of the Ozzie’s incident. I’m guessing Moxxie either gave up or let it slide this time around bc in a way, Blitzø DID try sticking up for him and Millie (despite begging Blitzø to not butt in on their anniversary and then getting put on blast for his past drama). As for Stolas bringing the incident up, maybe in the next episode the two of them can finally talk it out and make things up (and hopefully Stolitz becomes official)!

I DO feel that we could’ve gotten more Octavia screentime (was also expecting a song from her), but either way, I’m still glad we got to see her again! Also glad we not only got to see a glimpse of Loona’s past, but seeing a softer side instead of her usual aggressive side especially when it came to her sisterly bonding moment with Octavia was so sweet! After this wild search hunt for her, I wonder if Octavia will try and consider keeping an open mind of her dad’s relationship with Blitzø, then again I don’t blame her for feeling how she felt towards her dad in the beginning of the episode!

The portrayal of LA, welp, they weren’t wrong depicting it! As someone living in Cali (not in LA, but I have visited now & then), I can confirm most big cities are starting to go downhill VERY FAST!!! 🤷🏻‍♀️😅

Brandon Rogers (or rather, Brennon Ragers), being an official character in the Hellaverse, LOVE IT!!!! Reminded me of the Child’s Play/Chucky universe, y’know how Tiffany’s actress Jennifer Tilly is also a character in the universe, before getting possessed! Wished we got an interaction between Blitzø & Brennon, then again we already kinda have THAT sorta content on Brandon's YouTube channel! Edit: just found out one of the guys Octavia bumped into when she arrived to LA was Brennon!

The parallels of Stolas enjoying Blitzø's dark humor jokes compared towards the last episode was too cute! HUMAN!STOLAS, sooo worth the wait, also glad we got to see more of a sassier side to him during that aggressive phone call w/Stella and when he asks Blitzø if he even remembers his coworker’s phone number! And poor Blitzø, freaking out over performing on a stage again after his previously failed attempts, wonder if the next episode focuses more on his past (ie. Blitzø's childhood in the circus, whatever happened to his mom and Barbie Wire, the falling out of his relationships with Fizzarolli and Verosika, what lead him to start an assassination business, etc)

The M&M duet. THE M&M DUET, FINALLY!!! 😈😈🥰🥰👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 And not frickin’ Moxxie losing focus on the search hunt and instead goes on a mad LA souvenir shopping spree. At least Millie tried keeping him in check from spending money on so much junk! 🤣🤣🤣 Also, another issue is the fat-shaming jokes targeted at Moxxie, just no.

Overall, it was a pretty good episode and I can’t wait for the next one!!!
