VISUAL AIDS FOR ANYA BARNES . . . partners may reblog.
giving skull license to an absolute creacher here, but labrat!skull please.
test-tube born and lab raised, skull was the culmination of 40 years research, and was created for the sole purpose of acting as the USA’s immortal super soldier.
their critical mistake was underestimating skull’s abilities; when skull is ten he manages to accidentally escape, and upon finding the outside world, goes absolutely buck wild batshit insane.
with no prior experience with society, he naturally runs off of logical and emotional reasoning; thus in the nine years between his escape and checkerface’s invitation, he does whatever he wants as long as it makes him happy and doesn’t irreparably harm others.
for around five years he just wanders around north america as a feral child, mostly centering around the west coast’s rainforests, because “i’ve never climbed a tree that high before!”
when he’s maybe 13, he finds an animal conservatory and wildlife center, and curiously examines it for like, six months, and then decides that the park is now His. it is a very strange day for the park rangers when, months later, they find a scraggly dirty child wearing a bear skull on his face, asleep within a pile of cougar cubs m, plus mother.
over the next year and a half the park rangers and conservatory staff adopt this feral child one employee at a time, and slowly socialize him. they take note of his unnatural abnormalities and arrive at the correct conclusion: human experimentation.
gaining confidence in his people skills, skull is eventually able to act more or less like a standard human, specifically to get the cool shiny piercings anywhere he likes, but retains his feral behavior and personality in non-formal, non-transactional environments.
upon his invitation to/meeting of the arcobaleno, skull immediately forgoes his “people mask” because these folks are much weirder, in his humble opinion. he also doesn’t make the impression of ‘cloud’ on the others because of his uniquely cloudy way of thinking: “this space is not mine and therefor my rules don’t apply; i will follow this space’s owner’s rules because i know that i don’t like when my rules are crossed, and since they have not crossed my rules, it would only be appropriate to stand by theirs.”
skull has a lot of weird non-human traits that the others slowly begin to notice, once he takes his face mask and hood; his teeth are far too sharp, his eyes are reflective like a cats, his eyesight is impeccable (even at night), he is immune to food/water born illnesses, heals supernaturally quick, has insane pain tolerance, can navigate foreign terrain quickly and quietly, has sharp, naturally coloured, claw-like nails, a nose like a bloodhound, and his ears are long, pointed, and mobile, swiveling around and enhancing his hearing.
he dresses weirdly too, a lot of bone, metal, and wooden ornaments and jewelry, ragged and well worn clothing, avoidance of shoes and socks and preferring leather wraps, and even a bear skull on one shoulder.
this is the abrupt cutoff, tell me if u want more ig
Small fic for you all involving more about Tin and the CCC.

One of the pieces I did for dta to win this lad! And I did win him! And I… This was very much nailbiting for me, I am just happy he is here! Here is a little something about him. Such a relief to let this all out, I can`t! Boo is an intermediate result of an unfinished scientific experiment on genome engineering. The idea supposedly was to make a specemen that is capable of regeneration and significantly less prone to aging than regular human. He has absolutely no knowlege of his past life before the transformation, few months during and after are very dizzy as well. These memories are blocked off by a natural self-preservation mechanism due to huge physical stress he endured during the experiment and cannot be accessed. His past self, whomever he was, is gone. His working memory, however, along with most other cognitive systems is almost intact, this probably being the reason why he survived on his own in the wilderness for such a conciderable amount of time, blind, disorientated, having abandoned military facility as his only shelter. He is very energetic, quick learner, as was pre-determined by nurturing process preceding the sequence of operations. There is a good chance he was taken into the facility at a young age, so the formation of his personality traits could be guided, observed and studied before and after the change. He responds very poorly to violence towards himself, as well as feelings of sickness and pain, it usually frightens him to the poinnt of freezing, while he re-lives the same vague memories of a severe emotional and physical distress. This doesn`t include usual surface bruises and cuts he constantly gets because of his own clumsiness cimbined with hyperenergy. The facility he lived in is located in the forest near the small sleepy town. Was first created as a high-security bunker system related to ICBM defense, but didn`t find as much use as intended and was re-purposed as a government secret medical lab and research facility in its later years. The lab was also closed abruptly after a few years of its function. The reason is unknown, but there are signs of a hasty evacuation. There were rumors in town, of course, but its people are accostomed to keeping stuff like this among themselves, as the core of its older population are same military workers that were initialy stationed at the facility. Now this place is almost never visited aside from curious teenagers going there as a dare. Boo was not seen by them at those times though due to him being extremely skittish and cautious of loud noises, that usually accompony such groups. Boo was later found and befriended by a thaveling urban explorer/photographer, Axel [link to be added], who arrived in those places with firmest intention to find the military bunkers and poke into their depths as much as it is possible. He never expected to find there traces of scrambled human experiment lab, let alone, one of their experiment`s result itself. It took him little to no time to realise though that the strange human-like startled creature is more afraid of him than anything, absolutely harmless and also intelligent and curious. So, Axel, just as curious himself, took it upon him to establish a connection with an unknown fellow, learn as much about him as he can, from their meetings and also from the forgotten documentation and other traces of work he found in the bunkers, and care for the guy, getting him new clothes, proper food, and being a thoughtful company. Most of the stuff above was deducted from Axel`s findings. Eventually, with time and care Boo turned into a well-nourished almost-carefree sweetheart he is now. There was an accident with a group of teenagers though, tied to him now being a bit too carefree and friendly around people, after which Axel made a decision to take Boo from the bunker altogether at first, and then eventually for both of them to flee the city altogether. Now they live on the road, together, sleeping in a car or tiny no-tell rental houses. Currently residing at Axel`s friend`s [link to be added] place. Sum facts: -Boo is a glutton, eats almost everything. the more nutrition the meal has, the more he likes it, sweets being god tier -he is extremely curious, although shy. but his curiosity is stronger than his shyness. Though he earnestly does try sometimes to stop the flood of questions one or another new thing causes -listening to radio plays is among his favourite passtimes, along with solving puzzles. nothing is better though than hanging around with his newly aquired friends! -clumsy. and too energetic for being as clumsy as he is. Those bandages and patches are there for a reason. Axel always has those on hand, even though those kind of injuries never last long on Boo, enhanced regeneration doing it`s job after all -initially caucious around house pets as a result of living in the forest and being more accostomed to hunting/hiding from animals -his body temperature is higher than that of a regular human, metabolism is also a bit accelerated -his horns are covered in skin and are, overall, delicate to the touch, so the attempt to ram someone would harm himself more. not that he would do something as rude as that in the first place -his claws are non-retractable and also grow at higher than usual speed, so he has to pay extra attention to those -his age is unknown for certain, but he must now be somewhat over 20, concidering the years he spent under the medical supervision and a year or so in the wild -Boo is the name given to him by Axel, after he found documentation on one Billy Boolittle, whose complection, age, hair colour and some other parameters made him think (without definitive certainty though), that it might be his files. Boo took that name for a simple reason that he liked the sound -Boo enjoys tiny things on him that he can fidget with, bracelets hairpins and such. -someday he will get fully accostomed to having long ass tail and stops knocking things over with it or getting it pinched by the doors, but that day hasn`t come yet
who are you? at least tell us your name / ‘ VINCENT. ’

WTW PREPTOBER PROMPTS – WEEK 3: Worldbuilding/Important Locations
Telepaths | Tequila
For the most part, Tequila is set in current year modern day although the town of Swynglass is fictional, it’s politics and wars and country is fictional, and there are people who possess telepathic abilities. It’s .. difficult to understand telepathy, trying to put one’s mind into words is hard enough, let alone someone else’s mind. And human experimentation is generally frowned upon in Swynglass’ country. Cutting into someone’s brain and getting them to describe the surgeon’s thought processes didn’t work out last time.
That hasn’t stopped people from trying, but Zara goes out of her way to avoid that content. She isn’t a tool or specimen to others, she’s a person with something little understood. She will explain it as well as she can to others who ask but draws then line at any ‘tests’.
Things that are well known about telepathy:
it’s hereditory - it can skip generations.
there are no ‘stronger’ minds or ‘weaker’ minds, only healthy coping mechanisms (or unhealthy).
it is a touch-based and physical contact specific ability, although some people are .. ‘louder’ than others, or may be actively projecting their feelings.
non-telepaths cannot feel telepaths in their minds.
telepaths cannot actively alter other peoples thoughts or behaviours, more accurately it is the power of suggestion.
