Every once in a while, I go back and watch that moment of Joe Biden comforting a grieving Parkland family.

Not for politics—but to remember what compassion in leadership actually looks like.

Empathy. Presence. Humanity.

That’s what I miss.

Gaza City – in its entirety, has been placed under evacuation orders as israel attacks high-rise buildings.

Some one million people residing in Gaza City have been given orders to evacuate.

And the israeli occupation is forcing people to move south by bombing high-rise buildings where thousands of people are sheltering.

These people are left homeless in already deadly conditions – many refuse to move as they have nowhere to go.

More and more massacres are ongoing, people are STILL being shot down whilst looking for food.

The situation is unconscionable, many families are facing the threat of inevitable death – please try to do something, please don't ignore those who are asking for your help.

People need donations for transport, food & a new shelter ( considering winter is approaching ) so they can hopefully escape this horrifc fate.

Youssef, Hanan ( @hanangaza ) and their three young children are living in unimaginable conditions – they are in need donations to afford a basic shelter whilst being displaced again by the occupation.

Honestly, I don't know how our so-called ' humanity ' has gotten to this point.

We live in a world where saying that human beings deserve life, liberty & dignity – and don't deserve to be caged and bombed to death with no escape is somehow controversial.

People deserve life, children deserve life. Please, participate to give these children a chance – a chance to escape what seems like an inevitable death.

This Society Has Lost So Much of its Empathy Towards LGBTQ

It is incredibly frustrating to me lately to constantly receive bad news, regarding the massive decline in human rights. There are so many discriminations against sexual and gender minority groups, commonly known as LGBTQ, in Indonesia. This society has lost so much of its empathy, and it is terrible. Hatred towards LGBTQ individuals is rampant across almost every region; I feel sorry for them. They truly do not deserve to be treated that way; they cannot even live as themselves because of this insane hatred.

I have actually been quite patient with all of this, staying silent for over a month in the hope that the hostility would subside and the coverage would die down, but it has only gotten worse. Those crazy conservative groups also keep fueling the hatred, fuck them. If you know me long enough you will know that I almost never say anything mean like cursing at someone, even if the person is very annoying. I'm naturally good, I don't like that. But this time, I want to say fuck you, can you bad people just die? You are destroying humanity.

How long will you bad people continue to have hatred towards sexual and gender minority groups? I'm tired of all of you, if I could k1ll you all I would, but there are laws. Well, unless the laws themselves are bad…but that doesn't mean I'm just sitting idly by, you idiot. I will fight, together with my good friends, for true social justice and equality. As long as I am alive I will continue to move forward, by whatever means necessary. Nothing can stop me, including God, if God himself exists, in whatever conception of divinity you hold.

There are so many hypocrites; their tolerance has many terms and conditions. This is true not only in Indonesia but in other countries as well, though for the purpose of this writing, I am focusing on Indonesia. As always, they will say, "We accept differences, not deviations." What kind of argument is this? What is the basis? Religion? Even if your religion does not accept LGBTQ, does your religion actually teach hatred toward LGBTQ individuals, who are also God's creations? Think it over again; I don't want to get into a religious debate.
