me omw to write a huwumi fic with hero!dabi interrogating his childhood friend (hawks) abt his relationship w his sister
(no one will read it im simply writing it for my own enjoyment)
Sketches from 2024
And tiny Huwumi
Oh yeah, I don't really like my hero academia for a few reasons, but I do find it funny people were crashing out of Midorya and Ochako ending up together.
Especially because my three biggest MHA ships are Todomomo, Huwumi (Fuyumi and Hawks), and Eraserjoke. In a constantly shifting order btw. All three of which I don't think were really brought up by the ending except for Todomomo to say they weren't dating or married, but honestly doesn't affect how I view them because it doesn't counter my head canons at all lol.
Eraserjoke is a "They were secretly married the whole time" so unless they showed Aizawa or Emi with another character, which it doesn't, nothing proving that wrong (what is with me and "The teachers are secretly in relationships... I pulled this with Kakashi and Gojo as well XD).
Huwumi doesn't show up again I think, but even if they did, I feel like they would want to date in secret too at least at the start. Secretly dating.
Todomomo I actually headcanon as having crushes on each other freshman years, and then being way too career focused to dedicate any energy to romance, but once they're in their later 20s or early thirties they slow down and want to start a family. So them not dating as young adults even doesn't really affect that...
Since it's been taking longer than usual to update "Alone With You" I decided to at least post a sneak peek chapter. Thanks to everyone who's shown love for this series ❤️

fuyumi and hawks is so funny because wdym the boy who ran away from his abuser falls in love with the girl who spent her life trying to piece her abuser back together?
(i'm crying and i need help more huwumi fanfic because they would absolutely start off as toxic in the best way and grow to be more healthy)
Meet the Takami Family (and Grandpa!)
KAIDA TAKAMI:
HERO NAME: Enigma
Japan’s #2 Pro Hero—and the last person you want to piss off.
Kaida Takami isn’t your polished PR poster girl. She’s a brawler, a tactician, and a human Molotov cocktail of raw willpower and biting sarcasm. Born with a volatile Hellflame quirk, she’s spent her life turning that dangerous inheritance into an art of controlled chaos.
Personality
- Brutally honest. If she thinks it, she says it. No filter, no apologies.
- Competitive as hell. Hates losing more than she loves winning.
- Obsessive work ethic. Outworks everyone. Trains until she drops.
- Loyal, but not soft. Would burn the world for her family—but calls them on their bullshit, too.
- Surprisingly tactical. Behind the brash exterior is a sharp strategic mind that plans battles like chess games.
Fighting Style
- Brawler first, flamethrower second.
- Loves close-quarters combat. Punches, grapples, slams—often enhanced by sudden bursts of fire.
- Signature move: Hellstep—using flame to launch into the air, boost movement, dodge, and deliver bone-breaking hits.
- Constantly tests herself by taking hits to learn limits and weaknesses.
Quirk: Hellflame
- Inherited from the family line.
- Incredibly powerful, but naturally unstable.
- Spent years mastering control to avoid collateral damage.
- Uses it surgically in fights—every blast has a purpose.
Strengths
- Pain tolerance is legendary. She’ll keep going with injuries that would sideline most pros.
- Tactical mind. Reads the field, enemy quirks, movement patterns with uncanny speed.
- Authenticity. Even if you hate her mouth, you know she’s real.
- Relentless. Once she sets her mind on something, she will get it done.
Weaknesses
- PR Nightmare. Swears on camera, insults journalists, refuses to memorize talking points.
- Reckless streak. Will bait enemies to hit her just to test her endurance.
- Terrible at resting. Doesn’t know how to slow down.
- Not subtle socially. Will call a teammate “teacup” or “china princess” if they can’t keep up.
Family Dynamics
- Hawks (Keigo): The world’s chillest dad to everyone else—but to Kaida, he’s the smug bastard she can’t out-insult. He loves her unconditionally, and she knows it.
- Fuyumi: The voice of reason. The only one who can get Kaida to sit, shut up, and listen.
- Riku: Her quieter, serious brother. They bicker constantly, but no one else is allowed to insult him.
- Yuki: Her baby sister, the one person she won’t corrupt with her language (too much). Fiercely protective.
- Enji: Her mentor and the one who taught her to control Hellflame. Gruff, demanding, but unflinchingly honest—just how Kaida likes it.
Public Image
- Japan’s #4 Pro.
- Famous for being unstoppable in a crisis—and unmanageable in an interview.
- Accidentally popular because she’s real. No fake smiles, no forced slogans.
- “Legacy Hero” whether she likes it or not—she’s the granddaughter of the original Hellflame Pro.
What You’ll Hear Her Say
- “Hit me harder, bitch. I wanna see if I can take it.”
- “The fuck is PR?”
- “Grass is greener on my side of the fence ‘cause I scorched your fucking yard.”
- “Pretty much my whole childhood was one big ‘fuck around and find out’with gramps. I learned to stop fucking around.”
- “My dad’s blonde, grandpa’s a ginger. Duh, I have attitude!”
- “Jeanist is tired of dealing with fucking children.” [pause] “I AM THE FUCKING CHILD.”
- “You improve with a shitload of concussions. Turn your brain into cement in a mixer!”
- “SURPRISE MOTHERFUCKER!”
In Short
Kaida Takami is the hero you want at your back when everything goes to hell. She’s foul-mouthed, fire-tempered, and unbreakably loyal. She doesn’t care about being liked—she cares about winning. And she’ll train until her bones break if it means protecting the people who matter.
RIKU TAKAMI: THE QUIET MIDDLE CHILD
A detective’s mind in a hero family’s body.
Riku Takami is the kind of man who doesn’t need a spotlight. Where his famous older sister burns everything in her path and his little sister radiates sunny optimism, Riku is the steady, watchful center. He’s the one who sees everything, says nothing he doesn’t mean, and will absolutely ruin your day if you mistake his calm for weakness.
Quirk: Avian Wings
- Inherited from Hawks’ side of the family.
- Smaller, dense-feathered wings.
- Feathers can be launched for close-range interference—precision over power. Often used to grab evidence from crime scenes if it is high up, lodged in a small space, or he doesn’t have gloves available.
Career
- High-ranking police detective, Quirk Crimes Division.
- Expert in quirk analysis, tactical planning, and interrogation.
- Works with heroes but refuses to register as one.
- Hawks jokes he’s the “smart one” in the family—and he is.
Appearance
- Lean, wiry, runner’s build.
- Blonde with red streaks, cut short and neat.
- Sharp gray-gold eyes that see everything.
- Feathers always tidy—compulsively well-groomed.
- Understated, practical clothing.
Personality
- Stoic: Calm under pressure, rarely rattled.
- Blunt: If you want sugarcoating, look elsewhere.
- Deeply loyal: Might insult you to your face, but will burn the world if you’re threatened.
-Analytical: Always watching, always figuring out angles.
- Dry humor: Deadpan zingers that land twice as hard because of his delivery.
- Reserved but caring: Feels things deeply but doesn’t show it easily.
Flaws
- Bottles up emotions until he cracks.
- Stubborn as hell once his mind is made up.
- Doesn’t always realize when he’s being harsh.
- Sometimes feels overshadowed by Kaida’s fame—even if he’d die before admitting it.
Family Dynamic
- Keigo (Hawks): Dad annoyingly tries to get him to be more emotive. They butt heads, but there’s respect.
- Fuyumi: The one who “gets” him without words. They can have whole conversations in sighs.
- Kaida: Constant bickering. She pushes his buttons on purpose. But he answers her calls every time, no questions asked.
- Yuki: Protective older brother mode. She can make him laugh even when he doesn’t want to.
Public Image
- Not a registered hero.
- Among cops and heroes: “One of the best minds in the division.”
- Quietly respected.
- Knows his work matters, even if he never gets applause.
What You’ll Hear Him Say
- “No. Try again.”
- “That’s your plan? Hm.”
- “I don’t have time to lie to you.”
- “Yeah, that’s my sister. No, she’s not my problem right now.”
- [to Kaida] “Stop getting your blood on my crime scene.”
- “I don’t care what you rank, I am not calling you ‘Enigma’”
In Short
Riku Takami is the definition of “still waters run deep.” He’s a precision tool in a world full of blunt weapons, a man who watches, listens, and then acts with deadly focus. He may not call himself a hero—but no one would deny he is one.
YUKI TAKAMI: THE FROSTWING HERO
Warm-hearted in a cold front.
Yuki Takami is the bright, hopeful star of the Takami family—a hero who brings grace, warmth, and a blizzard’s edge when it counts. While her sister is fire and blunt force and her brother is calm precision, Yuki is the face everyone loves to see, making Japan believe in heroes with a smile.
Quirk: Storm Wings
- Broad white wings streaked with red from her Hawks lineage.
- True flight—fast, agile, beautifully controlled.
- Summons frost, snow, and localized blizzards.
- Can create ice shields, frost blasts, and freeze vapor with wing beats.
- Balances offense, defense, and crowd control with artistry.
Appearance
- Slender, athletic build with the grace of a dancer.
- Long blonde hair, usually in elaborate braids or flowing.
- Expressive gold eyes with warm flecks.
- Costume: sleek pale blue and white, designed for free wing movement with stylized frost patterns.
- Effortlessly photogenic—always looks camera-ready.
Personality
- Warm and earnest: Japan’s “little sister” vibe.
- Empathetic: Reads emotions well, comforts naturally.
- Playful: Loves teasing her family and friends, lightens any mood.
- Stubborn when it matters: Won’t back down if principles are on the line.
- Mischievous streak: Especially loves getting a reaction out of Kaida or making Riku smile.
- Energetic and positive: Always seems ready for the next big thing.
Strengths
- Excellent PR sense: speeches, fan events, press conferences.
- Extremely current: dances, memes, trending topics—she’s always on top of it.
- Fantastic improviser in battle: creative, flexible with ice constructs.
- Brings hope and comfort in rescue situations.
Weaknesses
- Too trusting at times, especially with the press.
- Eager to please everyone, which leads to burnout.
- Less physically durable than Kaida or many heavy-hitting heroes.
- Can be rattled by truly brutal combat or hard moral calls.
Family Dynamic
- Kaida: Idolizes her, even if she scolds her for PR nightmares. Loves putting Kaida on social media. “She’s so grumpy it’s cute.”
- Riku: Teases him to get him to relax. Knows he’d do anything to protect her.
- Keigo: Daddy’s girl, even if she lectures him about behaving in public.
- Fuyumi: Very close—asks her for advice about everything from outfits to hero ethics.
Public Image
- The PR golden child of the Takami family.
- Loved for social media presence: daily dance clips, positivity vlogs, hero tips.
- The Commission’s go-to for youth outreach and brand smoothing.
- Respected in the hero community for rescue success and creative, beautiful frost control.
What You’ll Hear Her Say
- “Smile for the cameras, please!”
- “Kaida, don’t threaten the journalist.”
- “Mom, let’s make this look good.”
- “I know it’s hard, but we can do better.”
- “We’re heroes. We give people hope.”
- “AHHHH! Mom and dad are sooooo cute!”
- “Come on Kaida! Just one dance!”
Vibe in the Pro World
- The face of modern hero PR.
- Effortlessly popular without being fake.
- Champions community engagement, charity work, and safety campaigns.
- Connects with young fans and rookie heroes alike, always offering guidance.
- Keeps the Takami family’s wilder tendencies from burning too many bridges.
In Short
Yuki Takami is the hope in the storm. She’s the hero you want greeting the camera after a disaster, the one who hugs kids, and the one who knows how to freeze a building collapse in its tracks. Sweet, smart, social-media savvy—and nobody’s pushover.
Keigo Takami – Hawks
The Red-Winged Hero. The Fastest Man Alive. The Sarcastic Old Hawk.
Hawks is Japan’s #1 showman-turned-veteran-mentor, a man who learned the hard way that style isn’t everything—but it sure gets you in the door. Once the Commission’s ultimate weapon and poster boy, he’s now a father, a husband, a retired agency head who can’t quite stop “just checking in.”
Appearance Over Time
- He’s always been impossible to miss: lean and athletic, with brilliant red wings that seem to telegraph every mood.
- Young Hawks: Cocky grin, perfectly styled hair, flashy cream-and-gold costume. Every inch the Commission’s Golden Boy.
- Mid-Career: Broader shoulders, slightly messier hair, darker practical suits. Still striking, but the flamboyance traded for subtle authority.
- Older Hero: Lines at his eyes, five-o’clock shadow he won’t shave, wings darker and heavier from wear. Dressed to work, not to impress.
- Retirement: Grey at the temples, civilian clothes unless he’s pulling rookie drills or gardening. But the boots? Always close by—just in case.
Personality
- Underneath the banter, Hawks is a study in contradictions.
- Witty, razor-sharp, and fast-talking. If you’re slow on the uptake, expect to get skewered.
- Observant and strategic. Sees the angles in every conversation, every fight.
- Sardonic but affectionate. He teases the people he loves most.
- Protective to a fault. For family, he’d burn the world down.
- He was once the Commission’s charming, manipulative, too-clever-by-half showpiece. Then he fell in love, became a father, and chose to stop performing—except for the people who matter.
Early Career
- A teenage prodigy, deployed as the Commission’s perfect hero.
- Slick, polished, always ready with a wink and a cutting remark.
- Used his humor to hide exhaustion and cynicism.
- Flirted, joked, manipulated—because that’s what they taught him to do.
- Behind closed doors? Lonely. Hyperaware. Always calculating.
Love and Change
- Met Glacia—actually Fuyumi Todoroki in a hero alias.
- She didn’t buy the act. That fascinated him.
- When he learned the truth, he was furious, then lovestruck.
- She’s the only one who could call him on his shit and get away with it.
- With her, the act fell away. He learned to be real.
Fatherhood
- Terrified of having kids at first. He’d been the Commission’s tool—what did he know about being a dad?
- But he refused to be absent.
- Obsessed with being there for all three kids.
- Patient with Kaida’s fire, careful with Riku’s quiet doubts, doting with Yuki’s bright energy.
- Dropped the charm for sarcasm and real talk.
- Became the “grumbling agency dad” every rookie feared—but secretly trusted.
Later Career
- Transitioned from golden boy to respected veteran.
- Uniform darkened, presentation simplified.
- Stopped giving a damn about headlines.
- Famous for blunt mentorship, biting humor, and telling the press exactly what he thought.
- Called Kaida “Sparky” at press conferences just to watch her scowl.
- Quietly delighted in watching his kids surpass him—even if he’d never admit it in words.
Retirement
- Stepped down with Fuyumi’s blessing.
- Gave a short, dignified farewell speech.
- Handed the agency reins to his kids if they wanted them. (Yuki took over)
- Spends days gardening, cooking, occasionally training rookies “for fun.”
- Still watches Kaida fight on TV and wipes his eyes when no one’s looking.
Relationships
- Fuyumi: His partner in every sense. They bicker, they tease, but they’re rock-solid. She’s the only one who can shut him up with a look.
- Kaida: The one most like him. Constant back-and-forth, shared respect. Sees her brilliance even when she’s impossible.
- Riku: Quiet bond. He’s gentler with Riku than anyone. Lets him set the pace.
- Yuki: Daddy’s girl. She can get him to do anything. He’d follow her social media dances and pretend to hate it.
- Enji: Complicated respect. Layers of old resentment, hard-won trust, and shared love for Kaida.
- Other Heroes: Bark worse than bite. Gruff mentorship, dry jokes, hard-earned loyalty.
Core Traits
- Unflinchingly sharp.
- Protective.
- Strategic.
- Sardonic but caring.
- Deeply, quietly loyal.
In Short
Hawks is the hero who learned to stop being a weapon and start being a man. He went from Commission poster boy to fierce father, sarcastic mentor, and reluctantly sweet grandpa. Under the feathers and wit is a man who refused to be absent—even when it hurt.
He’s the one man who could keep up with Kaida—even when she outgrew him.
Fuyumi Todoroki-Takami / formerly Glacia
The Ice Hero Who Became the Heart of a Family.
Fuyumi Todoroki-Takami is the quiet, unshakable center of the Takami household—a woman who once fought crime under a secret name, gave everything she had for the people she loved, and built a warm, steady life in the aftermath.
Appearance
- Age ~55.
- Pale, clear skin with cool undertones—classic Todoroki lineage.
- Long silver-white hair usually tied back in a low bun or braid.
- Faint red streaks remain from youth—visible only in bright light, a subtle nod to her family’s fire.
- Clear, expressive eyes that miss nothing. Glasses.
- Favors soft, calm colors: dusty blues, pale greens, muted greys.
- Dresses with understated elegance—practical, comfortable, but always neat.
Vigilante & Hero Past
- In her 20s, operated as Glacia—a highly effective, if unofficial, ice-based vigilante.
- Used advanced cryokinetic control: barriers, freezing munitions, precise icework for rescues.
- Became known for calm under pressure and creative, lifesaving applications of ice.
- Eventually recruited by the Hero Commission to go legit—but remained skeptical of their politics.
- Worked as a Pro Hero in secret partnership missions, where she first met Hawks.
- Lost her quirk permanently in her early 30s protecting him on a mission—All For One took it
- Walked away from hero work without regret, saying “I had the power to do something. I did.”
Demeanor
- Calm, patient, unfailingly perceptive.
- Speaks softly but with authority; doesn’t need to shout to be heard.
- Dry sense of humor that lands precisely when needed.
- Exudes a sense of steady warmth—maternal without smothering.
- Knows how to listen. Knows when to put her foot down.
- Her disapproval is quiet but crushing; her praise feels like sun after winter.
Personality
- Grounded and practical.
- Deeply empathetic but no-nonsense.
- Observant—always reading the room.
- Fiercely loyal to family and friends.
- Unsentimental about her own past—accepts loss, focuses on the present.
- Values honesty, especially the uncomfortable kind.
- Holds people accountable, herself included.
Marriage & Family
- Married Hawks (Keigo Takami) in her 30s.
- Their bond is rooted in trust hard-won on missions and built through years of stubborn partnership.
- Their love is quiet, teasing, rock-solid.
- They still banter, but there’s no real edge to it anymore.
- Helps balance Keigo’s restless energy with calm steadiness.
- Known in the family for reading him like a book and refusing to fall for his charms if she’s annoyed.
As a Mother
- The calm center in a house full of strong personalities.
- Kaida: Knows how to be firm without trying to “tame” her. Never forced her to be gentle, but demanded she be accountable.
- Riku: Handles his quiet, bottled-up nature with gentle prodding and open space.
- Yuki: Confidante, advisor, steady grounding for her boundless energy.
- Never tried to force her kids into a mold; instead, gave them the tools to grow into themselves.
- Unfailingly protective, but never coddling.
Strengths
- Keen emotional intelligence.
- Excellent crisis management, even without a quirk.
- Unrivaled patience.
- Skilled negotiator—defuses fights with a word.
- Knows how to teach without humiliating.
Flaws
- Can be too self-sacrificing—puts everyone else’s needs first.
- Occasionally too blunt.
- Tends to internalize stress; rarely vents.
- Sometimes struggles to let her kids make mistakes uncorrected.
Legacy & Public Image
- Glacia is remembered as a myth by older pros, a vigilante who “vanished” after one last hero act.
- Never sought credit or fame—her closest friends know what she gave up.
- Among hero circles, there’s a quiet respect for her sacrifice, even if most don’t know the details.
- In the Takami household, she’s the gold standard of what a hero should be—even without powers.
Core Traits
- Unshakeable calm.
- Sharp mind, sharper tongue when needed.
- Relentless accountability.
- Maternal without smothering.
- Elegance rooted in strength.
In Short
Fuyumi Todoroki-Takami is the retired hero who left the ice behind, but never lost her chill. She’s the type who makes a room feel safer just by standing in it, who can shut down nonsense with a single look, and who loves her family enough to let them be exactly who they are—even if she drives them to be better while they’re at it.
She’s proof that you don’t need a quirk to be the strongest one in the room.
Enji Todoroki / Endeavor
The Flame Hero Who Never Burned Out—Even When He Tried to Change.
Enji Todoroki is a man of fire even in his old age—less a roaring blaze these days than a slow, unyielding coal. At 70+, he’s not the #1 Pro Hero anymore, but he’s never stopped being Endeavor. Gruff, disciplined, impossibly demanding of himself and others—but also, in his final decades, capable of a quiet, wordless kind of care only those closest to him ever got to see.
Appearance (70s)
- Tall, broad, thickly built even in old age.
- Heavy shoulders, still visibly strong beneath plain clothes.
- Hair fully white, cut shorter and simpler than in his hero prime.
- Eyebrows still dark and furrowed in habitual scowl.
- Deep lines across his forehead and around his eyes.
- Burn scars prominent but softened by age.
- Eyes like banked coals—dimmed from youth’s fury but still sharp.
- Walks with deliberate weight, no wasted movement.
Style & Presence
- Dressed simply: dark slacks, work shirts, old training gi tops if at home.
- Retired from the flamboyant hero suit—but sometimes keeps it in view, a relic and a warning.
- Carries himself with absolute, unpretending authority.
- When he enters a room, everyone feels it—even if he says nothing.
- Known for crossed arms, unblinking stares, and long silences.
Personality
- Stern. Demanding. Unapologetically blunt.
- Holds others to the same impossible standards he sets for himself.
- Says little; expects you to understand much.
- Reputation for severity, but never for dishonesty.
- Emotions run deep but are rarely spoken.
- Has a dry, even surprising humor when it emerges—usually at his own expense.
- Loyal, protective in his own harsh way.
- Fiercely committed to growth—even if he never forgave himself for needing it.
Hero History (Always Present)
- Former #1 Pro Hero, Endeavor.
- Famed for unmatched firepower and relentless pursuit of perfection.
- Equally infamous for the cruelty and single-minded obsession of his earlier years.
- Publicly attempted to redeem himself late in life—by refusing to sugarcoat what he’d done, and by doing better every day without expecting applause.
- Privately viewed his flame as responsibility before power.
Quirk
- Hellflame.
- Even at 70+, devastatingly strong when used.
- But controlled to a near-artform by old age—like a sword that can cut paper without tearing it.
- Used sparingly, almost reluctantly, in retirement.
- Demeanor with Family
- Gruff, dry, and unyielding—but present.
- Never coddles.
- Praises sparingly, but when he does, it lands.
- Shows love through actions: training, waiting up for them, treating injuries without comment.
- Expects honesty, effort, and respect—gives the same in return.
- Especially with Kaida: treated her as an equal-in-training once she earned it.
Enji & Kaida (Special Bond)
- The only person who truly understood her quirk’s volatility.
- Saw himself in her stubbornness, her raw power, her refusal to quit.
- Pushed her harder than anyone, but never tried to make her him.
- Never said “I love you.” Didn’t need to. She knew.
- Rare praise meant everything: a single “Good” was worth more than any speech.
- Was the one adult who let her be angry, foul-mouthed, hurt—and just trained her anyway.
- Sat with her in silence when words were too much.
Strengths
- Impeccable combat intuition.
- Strategic mind sharpened by decades of leadership.
- Immense personal discipline.
- Unflinching honesty.
- Surprisingly good listener if you had the nerve to speak plainly.
- Devotion to self-improvement, even in old age.
Flaws
- Struggled to apologize in words.
- Could be so blunt he shut people out.
- Carried old guilt like armor, never laying it down.
- Never fully learned to explain his care in ways softer people understood.
Public Image (Late Life)
- Seen as the “old warrior” of the hero world.
- Respected even by those who resented him.
- Seen as reformed by some, unrepentant by others.
- Kept a low profile but would appear when needed to advise.
- Heroes still sought his counsel in training, if they dared.
Core Traits
- Relentless.
- Blunt.
- Protective.
- Disciplined.
- Honorable, on his own harsh terms.
- Capable of quiet, crushing gentleness no one expected.
In Short
Enji Todoroki in his 70s was not a softer man—but he was a better one. He didn’t chase atonement with grand gestures. He didn’t apologize with words he felt unworthy to speak. He taught, he watched, he waited, he stayed.
He was a man who knew his fire could destroy—and spent the end of his life making sure it didn’t.
And for Kaida Takami, he was not her father. He wasn’t trying to be.
He was something rarer: the person who never flinched from her flame.
