i will always think emmett/elle is like the best canon subplot romance love story i have ever seen especially with the limitations that is the 2h duration of a musical . mind you they develop them from when they were STRANGERS all the way to their ENGAGEMENT in that time frame HELLO

The story effectively used the constrained time to convey and develop these two's relationship in a well-ordered AND organic pace that was still able to maintain the chemistry and authenticity of the characters ALL THE WHILE being a subplot .

i sound INSANE but that is TOUGH to pull off without making it feel rushed or uninteresting . making an effective genuine, profound and emotional romantic storyline, capturing from when they were strangers to friends to lovers in such a tight timeframe is HARDDD . it's not easy to be able to hit the emotional beats you want with these circumstances but emmelle just does it Dude

Legally Blonde was smart enough to maximize montages for development, rely on onstage physical acting instead of solely on solo scenes and dialogue for relationship moments, and of course just create overall charming and well-rounded characters from the get-go . it's just too good

19) Are there any stories that you’ve written that you’d really love to do a sequel to?

Answered here, but in short - all of them? I really want to do all those Ar Lath Ma sequels, epilogue, short marriage arch, long dramatic piece set 10ish years post re-union. Because I feel I can, now, and because I am not done telling their story. Because @buttsonthebeach‘s stories are incredible inspiring in how far into the future you can go.

33) What’s the biggest compliment you’ve gotten?

Answered here, too, but I the more I think about it, the simpler it is. I remember @idrelle-miocovani telling me something simple, and earnest in chat, I can’t remember the wording, but it was an expression of ‘your writing is good’. GOOD? My writing?

Oh, and the fucking multiple times you have told me ‘you have good instincts’. AHHH. THANK YOU. 

40) Do people know you write fanfiction

My husband knows, but he doesn’t get to read. I told one gaming friend, and she just said ‘cool’. I told one of my best friends without telling specifics and I didn’t feel ready to let her read anything (though she asked). I’ve mentioned, in a passing discussions of hobbies, to my co-workers that I ‘write small things’. 

I feel like I am… working my way up, to talk about it. I want to, but so much of what I write is, well, very nsfw, and I don’t want people to assume things about my sex life based on my writing. I feel that in the fanfic community, there is an understanding of the separation of ‘things that you find hot’ and ‘things that go on in my real life’. It may be that it is a false perception, because no one thinks that fiction writers in general always are talking about them selves, but sex is very personal, and there are many people in the world who does not need to know in any shape what I find interesting in any sort of way. 

I also know enough people who knows what fanfiction is, generally, but mostly knows it as an auxiliary to being ‘nerds’ but doesn’t read it, so they have a lot of assumptions (about it being about people banging) which ofc in my case is partly true? 

So I find it hard to share. I wish I could though.
