The concept of Nancy and Robin both yearning for the pure happiness they feel radiates from the other, hurt in their own lives and haunted by events even outside of anything supernatural.
Robin doesn't know the looming past on Nancy's shoulders. She knows of it, of course, but she doesn't know Nancy wakes up crying or in a cold sweat most nights just thinking about Barb, or how she was treated in Sophomore year, or Jonathan
Nancy doesn't know how Robin's blood runs cold anytime she hears someone talk about queer people, or how her stomach churns with nausea every time she's in a female friend's room, or how she can't get her shots alone anymore after everything that happened in the Russian bunker.
EWWW WHAT'S THAT SMELL???🤢🤢 THE SMELLTINGVILLE CLUB OF COURSE!!! DUHHH
This is an introduction to my au—the smelltingville club. There's not really a main storyline or anything but it does take place in the late 80s/early 90s and instead of holding club meetings in Bill's basement, they hold them in an unstable club house they built in the woods. They're all seniors in highschool trying to make the most of their last year before they have to go out into the "real world." This au primarily focuses on the escapism in fandom. All of their home lives are kinda wack (aside from Jerry. he's a spoiled brat from a gated community.)
Quick run down of the boys and their personalities :)
Bill has trouble picking up most social cues. He's defensive, easily irritable, and often says things that gets him into trouble. He gets into the most fights and gets picked on the most because he's an easy target—and he reeks. Bill has a high ego with no sources to back it up and he often publicly humiliated himself trying to show off.
Jerry is cowardice but he's also a bit of an instigator. Don't let his looks fool you, he's honestly the meanest one of the group. He's quick to ditch his friends if it means it gets him out of trouble. He knows when to act sweet and when to push buttons. He gets a kick out of pulling strings but he won't stick around for the consequences.
Pete is the most adventurous out of all of them. Out of the four of them he's the most charismatic and surprisingly has a lot of connections around town. He's pretty reckless though and often times gets them all into trouble because they're in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Josh is whiny and skeptical. He's not necessarily the voice of reason—he's mainly skeptical because most of the things they do go against what Josh wants. Despite this, he's easily bribed into things and will (begrudgingly) go along with whatever it is they're doing. Doesn't mean he won't make his disdain everyone else's problem too.
Get these freaks out of my face bro.
Any criticism and feedback are most welcome!! I'm always open to improve and strengthen my writing/art/ect.!!! At the end of the day, this is all in good fun and I hope you guys like this smelly club as much as I do. Just keep a close pin on you, they might gas you out :/
