10 Favorite Characters
rules: list your ten favorite characters from ten separate fandoms, then tag ten people!
Thank you so much for tagging me, @reylokisses I always love to do these sorts of things! This was... actually somewhat hard. There's so many characters I could've put that I didn't, or I couldn't choose between... but ultimately I think it was fun to reminisce and try to dissect why I love them. Even if that wasn't a part of the instructions! ❤️
Kylo Ren
Though I have to say, Padme is also up there, along with Baby Yoda, or just Yoda, who I loved as a child.
2. Five Hargreeves
I just really love his attitude and can relate to the way he's been through so much, but clearly still has his values, like family- which he'd do anything for.
3. Helmut Zemo
He also went to pretty extreme lengths for his family, and to make a statement, which... ultimately was heard, and probably needed. How could you not love him?
4. Connor RK800
Pure, innocent curiosity about the world and why things are the way they are. He'd fight for anyone who needed help, and while it took him awhile to see things clearly, overall he's such a good person after being a cog in the wheel.
5. Allison Argent
Allison, my heart- my baby. She was, and is, everything, and while Stiles is definitely right there, too. The symbolism, themes, and trajectory of her story always resonates with me. The struggle between wanting to be worth saving, but also wanting to save yourself and others too.
6. Percy Jackson
The first book I ever read where I genuinely felt represented and like a kindred spirit. He embodies someone whose gone through too much at such a young age and is still a light in the darkness of this world despite all he's endured.
7. Elena Gilbert
While there's definitely a lot of relatability w Caroline, Elena also always made me feel validated in seeing someone go through so much, and not let others tear her down for it. Seeing people hate on Elena because she 'acts too much like a victim' always made me upset because... if you'd been through half the things she had, you'd probably be acting way worse, let's be for real.
8. Johnny Soap MacTavish
It was honestly a toss up between him or Makarov right now, and while I haven't actually played the campaigns, I have to say that I love his determination, his dedication, and every time I see (and play as) him on the Zombies map, hearing his quips, along with the messages left behind to Laswell, it just makes me smile. For the same reason I love Allison, I love Johnny.
9. Anastasia
I think the entire theme of family was always the reason I cried so much when it came to this movie as a child. Wanting to have a family, be accepted, and loved... it was all so resonant with me, and her outfits definitely didn't help either.
10. Sora
While this game might've been my whole world as a child, I think that Sora definitely was someone who I saw myself in as well. Roxas, of course, too. But Sora's optimism was something I aspired to have, and while they all respectively went through their own ringer, Sora was always trying to keep everyone together and literally went to the World's End to find his friends and keep his found family together.
All in all, I feel like there's a lot of similar themes and motives behind my favorites, and it's kind of crazy to think about all the characters I didn't put down, like anyone from the DC universe (mostly bc I couldn't pick one), because most all their themes revolve around the same things too. The story of my life, ig, really: traumatized too young, wanting all the good things everyone else does, and being willing to sacrifice it all for said happiness.
