Something I don't believe I've seen anyone bring up since it was first revealed is that Kirby Air Riders has a fear rating. Much like another certain Kirby game we all know and love.

What I'M thinking, with the new revelations brought by the hour-long Direct a few days ago...

While most people correctly state that Jinx ruined Zaun's chance at independence in s1, it would be even more correct to argue that Jayce (and Vi) ruined it first. Mel and the Council were willing to hear Silco's demands, when they learned about him. Would have gotten a completely independent Zaun? Probably not. But Silco didn't think he'd get literally everything he wanted, he was willing to negotiate (haggle).

It was Jayce who went around the Council's (and Mel's) back to raid the refinery (without a warrant) because he didn't like the idea of talking things out, he wanted retribution. All he ended up doing was getting a lot of people killed and assaulted, including a child. And once Jayce learns his lesson, without telling anyone (again), he offers Silco Zaun's independence, which was an offer doomed to fail because not only was their talk not a negotation but a series of demands made by Jayce. He also pushed what were essentially two non-starters.

Jayce demanded Jinx's arrest, which is an insane thing to demand from someone that would technically be a leader of a sovereign city-state, if Silco went through with the deal. Jayce was asking Silco to hand over his daughter to a foreign government and be imprisoned by them. Let's look outside Jinx's crimes for a second. How does that not sound like Piltover wants to hold hostage the child of their political rival as a bargaining chip.

Second, and is so because it's less discussed, Jayce wanted to end all shimmer manufacturing. What does that mean for Silco when he literally uses it as medicine for his infection? It means he'll die without it.

People can say Jinx ruined PnZ's chance for peace, which is true, but only in that she sped up the inevitable breakdown. Silco was never going to give Jinx up (it's weird to think he'd give up shimmer too). A war between Piltover and Zaun was inevitable because Jayce had to put his foot in it so many times.

Having weird mid/during-loop thoughts rn

Those loops where Malachite leaves right after they wake up, no parting words to anyone. It’s not enough for everyone to be truly worried. Their ship is still on the map, still visible, traceable. Two hours isn’t enough time to worry, really. It’s easy to brush off with other things going on in the village

Hal does worry, of course (at least once they realize). Mal said they were going to see them before their launch, say their goodbyes to everyone and all that. It’s odd that they’d just, not show up at all. Maybe they’d go to Marl and ask if they saw Mal at all. Maybe the two of them would piece things together within the hour(s) and get both Gossan and Hornfels

But it’d never be enough time, at least I don’t think. Slate would be the best bet of ever actually being able to catch Malachite early in the loop, but if there’s nothing openly wrong, Slate just thinks Mal’s trying to get to space as fast as possible. Maybe they got the codes earlier. But other than them, things would be cut too short. At least in some way

Malachite’s far enough into the loops by that point to know the sun will explode before anyone can really do anything

does nora have gender dysphoria? no. does he get gender euphoria? yes, but the he in his she/they/he pronoun set gets kind of nerfed when he shapeshifts. plus, it can't feel good to know that whatever you look like is on a time limit, he can't hold that forever.

Really fw the idea that all the turtles are on the nonbinary spectrum. Gender wasn’t really a thing for them like it is growing up around other people. Yeah dad always used masculine titles like boys and sons but it was never something like. enforced by society. they just kinda were.

Anyway I think as they start existing in the hidden city some complicated feelings would come up in response as people try to stuff them in boxes that weren’t there before
