The Kamishichiken district is largely decorated with plum trees, especially the grounds of the Kitano Tenmagu Shrine.

February 2019: Maiko Ichiaya (Ichi Okiya) and Maiko Katsuki (Daimonji Okiya) of Kamishichiken serving tea during Baikasai.

Baikasai is a special event held every February 25th by the Maiko and Geiko of Kamishichiken to honor the beauty of the plum blossoms. The Geimaiko hold a special outdoor tea ceremony at the Kitano Tenmagu Shrine and serve tea to several thousand guests.
