Hey, for actual science (reblog & tell me in the tags!):
What is your favorite iconic Tumblr post and why?
Turning certified iconic posts into house shitposts part 2
jonathan sims, everyone.
How I imagine the new tumblr code question will go:
it is a hot summer night and i have invited you back to my place after meeting you at the bar. we just came in the door, and are taking off our clothes haphazardly. you bend down to untie your shoes.
me: I like... your shoelaces...
*WE ARE DEEPLY STARING INTO EACH OTHERS EYES. MY EYES REST IN YOUR LIPS FOR A MOMENT, LUST ON MY GAZE. YOU BLUSH.*
you: thanks, i stole them from the president...
*I LEAN IN, YOU LEAN IN, OUR HOT BREATHS AGAINST EACH OTHERS LIPS.*
you: i fill my ass with orange juice.
*MY HANDS ARE NOW IN YOUR HAIR, SENSUALLY YANKING YOUR HEAD BACK AS MY LIPS GRAZE YOUR NECK. MY MOUTH RESTS BY YOUR EAR, MY BREATH SENDING SHIVERS DOWN YOUR SPINE.*
me: 17... cocks...
"what's wrong with him when it took him so long to get the title!!" It Jenson 9 seasons to get his title and it took Nico 10. There's 6 seasons between Lewis' first & second title (same with Graham Hill and Jack Brabham also had the same gap between his second and third title), and five seasons Michael's between second & third title. Niki Lauda has the biggest gap between titles with 7 seasons between his second and third title (though it should be noted that he did compete in all of those seasons). People say he'll only win one title to shame him as if winning a wdc is an easy feat. F1 has plenty of brilliant drivers who either only took one championship home (Mansell, Kimi, Jenson, Nico, Hunt for example) or who never did get their hands on that trophy (Moss, Barrichello, Ickx for example), that doesn't negate their talent. Luck, the speed of the car, the reliability of car, the team's dynamic all plays a part, people forget that. You can be an incredible driver but without at least some of that support, you're going nowhere. If you do have it, sometimes it works out, other times it doesn't. We don't know who's going to win in the upcoming years but I can guarantee you any driver on the grid would be glad to see just one wdc with their name on it. Like it or not, Max is incredible driver. He's been smashing records since the beginning and while those records could be broken in the future, no matter what comes next he'll always be the first Dutch driver to lead a lap, to win a Grand Prix and to win the wdc. He's currently ranked 16th of formula 1 grand prix winners with the most wins (joint with Mika Hakkinen), his closest contemporary (of his generation/of the younger drivers) is Leclerc who's the joint 65th with Perez, Max's career is still just beginning yet he's already amongst the top drivers ever in the sport. I believe he'll win the wdc again but even if he doesn't he'll still be an incredible driver because he simply is one. I want him to win again but he doesn't have jack shit to prove to anyone anymore.
I see absolutely nothing but facts from you anon🥰🥰
Max’s f1 career has been in the middle of a very dominant Merc era, when Max got into Red Bull from 2016-2020 Merc had the best car…and yet Max was still able to battle, get poles and win which people need to remember. The car is a massive part in a driver winning, like if Max didn’t have as many reliability issues especially in 2020 he would have been fighting at least for p2 in the championship. Merc has the least amount of reliability issues liek they didn’t. And yes if you are an amazing driver that also help like Max in 2020 Christian saying Max was able to mask the problem of the car cause how good he is.
Max since he began in F1 has broken records…last season he was still doing it as well, Max earned his championship this year, he was the one out of the two who deserved it the most and I agree once Red Bull give Max a reliable car…there is no stopping him, he is v much able to be a multiple world champion🥰
Since Max got into F1 people have said he is a championship winning…he has been compared to Senna and Schumacher since 2016…there’s much more for Max to achieve and I’ll never forget Martin Brundle saying “thank god for Max Verstappen” in Silverstone 2020…that is what he brings to F1…entertainment and excitement and 2021 was just the beginning🧡
