More on idv zombie apocalypse au:
The virus was caused by Andrews crime of digging up the graves. One of the corpses was infected, turned a "zombie" (more on that later) and when it was dug up, it escaped out of the coffin and attacked poor Andrew, marking him the first infected among the survivors.
I think calling them zombies would be wrong, since they're rather mutated corpses. The bones stretch out, pierces through the body and add to the height. The brain melts, turning into black liquid (the same we saw in the bottles in aom) which marks the death of who they were before the infection. That means that the brain melting is the last "stage" and the infected is conscious and fully aware of their bones growing inside of them and piercing through the muscle and skin outwards.
So, everyone who has a hunter counterpart, is canonically dead/turned into a mutant in this au. Rest in piece Norton, Orpheus, Melly, Mike, Joker, Luchino and Emil. Plus Andrew because he's the first infected, but he'll be killed quite soon in the story, but not before he infects a bunch other random people (Sorry to Andrew fans, someone had to go early). BUT, it all starts with no survivor (expect Andrew) infected. It all happens later on.
The manor could be a hide out, like in the show The Last of Us with the farm and big white house. It is theorised that Orpheus is the owner of it, so maybe that could be true here as well. But he'll turn into a mutant anyway, so maybe Frederick will take over as it was his fathers territory first, he's the rightful owner of it.
Emily is obviously the doctor of the manor. Emma is going to try to grow vegetables in the greenhouse, Melly even might try to help.
They'll have like a group of people who go out into the cities to scavenge for food and useful materials. The group could consist of Brynhildr, Naib, Ganji, Joker, Norton, Martha, Kurt, Forward, Cowboy, Jose, Qi, Florian, Lily, Richard and Hernando. But I'm not sure on all of them, I just included everyone who's helpful in the gameplay. Maybe one could be added or subtracted.
The ones who have to go scavenging will receive better clothes and food for their risky jobs.
