Rosie welcomed you into hell with open arms. Your death was sudden, you hardly even remember what happened. Nor did you care, you had a feeling you’d end up here.
The human world was a blur to you, nothing really rang a bell.
So you found comfort in Rosie, you resided at her emporium that sat in the busy Cannibal Town. It took some adjusting, the thought of sinners eating each other made your stomach churn, but over time you got used to it.
She would make hearty meals every night, the both of you gossiping over the latest news in this wretched place. You needed entertainment around here.
You managed to leave the emporium to go on a walk, managed to pick up a few groceries around cannibal town, hoping you weren’t eating a fellow sinner, thought chances are you definitely were.
For a while, you explored around hell, looking around different shops. At one point you ended up out of cannibal town. Not like that concerned you, it wasn’t hard to find your way back fortunately.
Finding your way back to Rosie’s emporium, you limped to the door, carrying a bag of groceries, you managed to get so many things for under a dollar, gosh you wishes prices stayed this way forever.
Your body slightly ached, you walked far more than your body asked for, you were exhausted.
“Was shopping a success darling?” Rosie chirped, tending to a customer while munching on a pinkie finger.
You began to put away your bags of groceries, putting them away in the designated spots you had in your head, hoping a stray cannibal wouldn’t get to them, that has been an uprising issue as of late. Rosie mentioned making an announcement in the near future.
“Indeed, Rosie, though I believe I may retire for the night, I did enough walking for today.” You smiled as you sorted your groceries. Folding the bags neatly, you could use them again perhaps.
“Go get some rest, nothing on the agenda for a while, you earned it,” She smiled, big black eyes feeling like home.
You nodded, walking towards your room, but something caught your attention, Rosie’s radio. The one where humans from the mortal world could contact hell via ritual. It was shaking violently.
“Your radio…it’s uhh…going haywire,”
“Just ignore it! Another pathetic human playing games,” Rosie dismissed. You shrugged your shoulders.
Once you got to your room sleep practically took over, it felt good to relax after a long day. It felt deserving for once.
When you woke up, the clock ticked to 3:17 AM. Your sleep schedule was going to be fucked again, but oh well, not the first time.
You groaned as you sat up, forcing yourself out of bed. You were sweating, it was very hot at night. A genuine sin to you, but this was hell after all. What did you expect.
Rubbing your eyes, you got out of bed, walking towards the door so you can retrieve a glass of water. Your hand turned the nob, opening the door.
You walked down the dark hallway, yawning as you did so. But something caught your attention, from Rosie’s room. It sounded like a man’s voice.
“I want to secure myself, amongst the highest demons. I want to continue my FUN!” The voice said, which seemed to be coming from her radio.
You cringed at the comment. A human must have contacted her. She most likely was mocking them. But what she said caught you off guard, but had you curious.
“Well, that’s a new one.” She paused.
“I must say. A soul like yours is unlike any I’ve seen.” She continued. “I can grant you power. Power beyond what your mortal mind can imagine. The most…powerful sinner in hell..BUT!”
She stopped, seeming to be caressing the radio, that had a green aura surrounding it. That was new.
“You must do something for me, and until you complete this task, your soul, will be mine,” She teased, even giving you chills.
The voice on the other end, a deep voice, which you somehow found quite attractive, responded.
“It’s a deal,” Followed by psychotic laughter.
“Christ,” You mumbled, facepalming yourself. Which caught Rosie’s attention. She turned to you with a winning smile.
“Y/N! What are you doing here!” She was beaming.
“Came to see what that edge lord was saying, what possible fun would he want to continue,” You ranted.
“Oh you’ll see when he gets here. I have hope with this one, you can trust me,” She reassured.
Shrugging, you walked to the kitchen, retrieving that glass of water your dry throat claimed. Looking out the window, something dawned on you. What if you could enter the human world?
“Impossible…right?” You hesitated, eyes darting to Rosie’s bedroom. She just walked out of it not too long ago, she seemed way too happy.
You stomped your way over to Rosie’s, discarding the glass of water onto a counter. Everything looked so fragile, as if it was made of glass. You were careful with your movements. Any creak would get Rosie’s attention your head told you. Lovely paranoia.
You made your way to the radio that rested by her bed, the green aura went way, but you felt a strange energy within it. You regret touching it, because suddenly you saw a white light.
Were you going to heaven? For why?
Your eyes opened and you found yourself in a very ran down cabin, and oh my days did it stink. It was rancid.
You took in your surroundings, eyes landing on a pentagram and what seemed to be the set up on a ritual.
“My god,” You winced. “Am I in this freaks house?”
You looked to your left, green fire came out of the fire place, but that was the least of your worries. You tried not to gag from the sight. Multiple piles of human bodies were stacked, you couldn’t even count how many.
“Holy shit,” You stumbled back. Wanting to go back to Rosies.
The sound snapped you out of your panic. Footsteps. You were this guy’s next victim.
A silhouette came into view of the doorway, he seemed to be laughing to himself. Then you finally got a good view of him.
His hair was curly, it looked so soft. Caramel skin. He had cute little glasses. His outfit looked formal, his sleeves up like he was handling handiwork. This couldn’t be the guy responsible for this. Definitely not.
He seemed to catch sight of you. Because he looked rather startled.
“What on earth?” He stumbled back. Causing you to scream.
“Who are you? What are you?” You panicked.
He pointed to himself, looking around the room. Taking in your demonic features. “Alastor, The Radio Host? Surely you’ve heard of me, my dear. It’d be-“ You cut him off
“I’m from hell, I never heard of you,” You rolled your eyes, this guy’s ego was massive. It annoyed you to the max.
Alastor nodded his head, “Fascinating,”
You looked around the bio hazard of a house, flinching at all the bodies. It was disgusting.
“Yeah there’s no saving you,” You joked.
“Hence why I made that deal with that woman,”
Alastor shrugged, “The first demon that got back to me,”
You had no clue how to get back to hell, nor how you ended up here in the first place. No wonder why Rosie told you not to touch the radio. You’d be getting an earful by the time you got back. That’s if she noticed if you were gone.
You stayed with Alastor for some time, his presence rather comforting if you pushed aside the fact he just threw bodies in here as a hobby.
The two of you talked for quite some time. He mentioned how hard he worked to become a Radio Host around here. It had its struggles. He talked about New Orleans, the history of where he was born and raised. His mamans cooking and how much he mourned her.
He was quite a gentleman. Making sure you were comfortable. Which you lied about. The bodies were such a throw off. The stench hard to ignore.
The sun finally began to come up, in which Alastor excused himself. He had to get ready for work at the station.
“Make yourself at home dear, I might have some catfish lying around in the fridge. Freshly Caught! And no it does not have human meat. I know your kind,” He teased, causing you to scoff.
“Thank you, Radio Boy,” You giggled. Watching him walk out the door.
You spent the day going through his small cabin. Exploring the bayou surrounding it. It felt rather calming. Very quiet. You thought about hell and how you would get back, wondering if Rosie noticed and if she was worried. Maybe she just thought you were going on one of your adventures through hell again. Which you seemed to do often.
You made your way back to the cabin, you took in the environment. The blood trail that led to the house and made its way inside. This guy had absolutely no shame, you thought to yourself. It was disgusting, but hell was no better.
Night came quick. Crickets and bullfrogs were an ambiance to you. No sign of Alastor though. Maybe he worked late, or was out committing murders. Either or, you wondered what he was doing.
Midnight rolled around. Still no sign. Until you heard what sounded like a dog, followed with a gun shot. Was deer hunting common in the bayou?
Your thoughts were cut short when you began to see that same white light from before. Where the fuck were you being sent to now?
You manifested back to streets that looked familiar. Hell. You prayed for times like this. You missed the red skies. But was Alastor still there? He would come home to see you gone. No hard feelings to him, or so you hoped.
The sound of groaning filled your ears. You were scared to turn your head, the sight most likely going to cause you to bleach your eyes.
Facing your fear, you turned your head. Seeing a man with bright red hair, deer ears. He was rubbing his forehead. Cursing under his breath.
He wore a white button up, covered in fresh blood. It was slightly unbuttoned.
You sat up, making your way towards the man, placing your hand on his shoulder, which he swatted away.
“That scoundrel, pompous dog,” Radio Static filled his voice, even catching him off guard. His hand shot to his mouth, head throbbing. But he managed to make eye contact with you. You looked all too familiar to him.
“Oh hello again,” He waved, trying to keep a cool face, as if he wasn’t just acting like a toddler.
You finally realized it was Alastor. Eyes lighting up. A laugh escaped your lips.
“That was fast,” You chuckled. “Seems hell couldn’t wait,”
Alastor groaned again. Trying to get up and steady on his feet. He felt weird. Somewhat like s fever dream.
“That idiot thought I was a deer. Now I’m here, lovely,” he mumbled.
“You asked for it,” You crossed your arms.
You held Alastor steady, helping him walk. He seemed to be learning how to walk all over again. He was so embarrassed and felt pathetic. But you reassured him everything was fine. Hopefully Rosie wouldn’t scold you as soon as you entered the door. But you had her most prized possession. How could she be mad?
“I know a place you can stay, she’ll take great care of you,”
